Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Who doesn't love shopping for things for our nests!? Personally, it my favorite pastime. No matter what state my house is in, it can always use a fresh change! So in honor of redecoration and hunting for that special something to make our houses more like home, we have the Houzz website as our inspiration portal for the week! I'm sure it will inspire you to "create the home you always wanted" in your paper crafts this week!
Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because it looks like an image on the site. Rather, take the real challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow again, and creating something brand new for the gallery!
Use the keyword: IC610 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words. Include your inspiration image in the description of your project being sure to only include links from the Houzz website.
IC610 Gallery
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many, or too little, images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorite designs! So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Inspired by this mosaic creation- Ambrosio's Delight- I made my own mosaic with recycled paper, adding some texture and "locking it down" with an embossing folder. Added a recycled sentiment, and a dc goldfish. Here's Party Time

thanks for a great site Audrie-it's been awhile since I have been able to play in the inspiration challenge. It was fun and gave me a chance to use some supplies.
Audrie, what an awesome site!! I meant what I wrote in my description! This was a photo inspiration lovers dream site! My husband is home and I MUST get him supper but as soon as I can I will be back to see what everyone else created! I can't wait!
Ah... the refrigerator was installed in my kitchen yesterday...
( so, I now have a (almost) fully functional space again )
and that site is such a huge rabbit hole...
( I am now searching for a tray or basket to hold bread on top of a bitty microwave)
but, I have found some things that make me want to get inky instead...
but, the question I have at the moment is, has anyone signed up for that site? and if so how much junk mail are you getting? ( I tried to do it with my google account and it says HOUZZ wants to access your contacts, so I keep saying No so, it won't let me have one...)
so, how much junk mail are your contacts receiving?
I signed up a few years ago with the site because we were trying to build a house. I just went to Houzz.com and signed up for an account. I get an email occasionally from them with ideas on it but other than that I don't get much. So hope that helps. I don't sign up through google or facebook for hardly anything.

Sometimes not having time to do something works out in your favor. Case in point: my card for this challenge was originally going to be made for the recent Dare to Get Dirty challenges, but didn't happen. As it turns out, it not only fits this challenge AND one of the DTGD challenges, but also this week's Free for All challenge! Woo-hoo! A three-fer... Here's my See the Light card...
