TLC653 ~ Long Division ~ [08/28/2017}
Happy Monday, everybody! It's been quite a while since I featured a fold - and this is an easy one for you. It seems to me that any time I upload one, a couple of people always say "Oh, I must try this!", so here's your opportunity. Both my samples are Christmas cards, but it works beautifully for summer meadows full of flowers, and wherever your imagination takes you.
This fun technique featured in the Holiday Blitz in 2014, so when you are uploading you look for
* Technique Spotlight in the main gallery drop-down menu.
* Holiday Blitz in the sub gallery options ...and then
* Screen Divider Card in the third drop-down box that opens up for you.
Dawn's super tutorial (video included) is found in our Tutorials sections here: Screen Divider Card
If you wish to make three panels rather than four, that's perfectly fine. I personally find it easiest to use 12" cardstock for the base, and score it at 3", 6" and 9". You can change up the measurements to suit yourself.
Alternatives for punching the "legs" at the bottom: I often use the SU Modern Label punch but some of the Spellbinders Labels dies also work beautifully for this.
I don't have but one or two punches which will punch cardstock, so I use border dies, carefully positioning them to cut the full length of the screen.
Here's a link to our TLC653 Long Division gallery
Here are two from me:
TLC653 Winter Fun
TLC653 Winter Style
 Remember to use the keyword TLC653 when you are uploading. It's helpful (to the hostesses for sure!) if you come back and leave a link on this thread .
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Perfect timing!
I was just about to start on 2 screen cards LOL
So...I will definitely play along
We just make our cards and then post pics of them here and in the gallery?
Is there ever a swap involved or is this for us and to show our fun here?

Swaps are in a different section of the forum. The daily challenges are here to inspire you and spark your creativity. Upload your new creations to the gallery as normal, using the keyword given in the challenge post. You don't need to add a picture here, just post the link to your upload, that's really helpful to the hostesses. The challenge galleries are keyword-driven, so it's great to upload your card to the appropriate technique or SU set gallery.
If you have any other questions, just ask!

You know, I feel kinda sheep-ish that there is a tutorial for this fold, you're right though I am one of those people who has thought maybe maybe seeing your cards Sabrina, so I will have to see what I have to make the punches with the folds look do-able to me

You can do it, Stacy! It's really not complicated at all in terms of folding ;-), no more than an ordinary card. The trickiest bit for me is cutting evenly across the top because I don't have any suitable punches, and it's easier to go skew-ways when trying to line up a die for the second part. Some of the Spellbinders labels work well for the feet.

TLC653 Sweet Joys- 2 views
Sabrina- not that hard! But so much fun. I went holiday themed with my vintage Christmas images, using a bone folder, a paper cutter, ruler and colored pencil (with an eraser to remove lines at the end). Here's Sweet Joys and Sweet Joys- folded card

It has taken me all week to get around to finishing this! I'm sending it to a lady I know who enjoys setting her cards out. This could be fun for her.
