Lisa here as your hostess for this weeks WTUI challenge.
It is the heat of the season for many of us. Here lately it has been in the 90s. Now I know I am not in the hottest parts of the country but it has been pretty warm for our area. With it being the heat of the season, show us some heat on your card. You can use heat emboss, an image with fire, stove or iron. Or you can use one of the fun techniques that use any of these elements. I look forward to seeing your HOT cards!
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Lisa- awesome challenge- thanks! I went with my favorite, red polka dots, for my card, keeping it CAS with a cream triangle background and a wrapped fabric tie. Here's Mom's handbag

I really wanted to try to make a more feminine card than the results I usually end up with from the Heated Pearls technique. I think I succeeded - thanks, Lisa.

Heat it Up -- I did! I watercolored the background with lots of "blooms" and then used my heat gun to aid the drying process. Then, I heat embossed the three flowers with liquid platinum eb from Ranger. Good thing my room is air conditioned! (laughing)
Here's another, with wax resist. It's too hot to use an iron!! Thankfully, I had a panel leftover from a previous technique challenge. DTGD17jacquelineA friend
