I am so excited to be your hostess tonight for the VSH2! Its my first time hosting anything on SCS so bear with me! I will check the thread often and answer your questions as best I can! Thank You all for playing!!!!!! Now to my challenge!
Tonights challenge is called ABCs and 123s!!! Choose a set of colors(matching CS and inks) starting with the same letter such as Pale Plum and Perfect Plum then choose stamp sets starting with the same letter such as Pocket Full of Posies and Print Pattern. You can use combinations of 1, 2, or 3 colors and sets. The real challenge is to see if you can use up to 3 colors and 3 sets that start with the same letter. I still dont have very many sets so I was limited! Its harder than you think, trust me. Feel free to use a neutral color if necessary and any embellishments you would like.
Remember, this is just for fun and to get us stampin, so there will be no time limits, no contests, and no winners. Just Have Fun!!!! Please dont forget to type in the keyword (LSC59F) when you upload so we can see your creation!!!!!
Keyword: LSC59F
Limit: Sets and Colors that start with the same letter of the alphabet
Stamps: any
Card Stock: any
Ink: any
Embellishments: any
Oooh... gonna have to really put my thinking cap on for this one. I think I will start with the stamp sets & then choose the colors from there. Well..... after the kids are in bed and I run to get some milk. Creative challenge!! Thanks!
Sounds very challenging...but fun! I'll probably be late getting started, but I will do it!!! Thanks for coming up with this very creative challenge! Great one for a first one too.

Oh my -- I have worked all day just to get caught up (haven't even had time yet to post comments on the others) and now I have to use what is left of my brain! Okay, this is an interesting one and might require me to sit down and have a cup of coffee while I think about it!
Location: Living in Kansas, but my heart is at OSU with my DS!

Wow this is a awsome challenge, I still have not done the last one. I will tonight when family settles down. I was on too long befor and DD decided to cut her own hair. used to be down past her waist now at her shoulders in some places. I guess that will teach me to pay attention to the computer too much.
Whew! That was definitely the fastest card I did today. I think the adrenalin kicked in, because I was so nervous about getting back here to post my challenge. I will do that & then upload my card here.

I remember those Hostess nerves, bet Jen does too, lol. Melody did your speed card beat my 30 second Diecut card, lol ?
Hey, Ladies! You guys are doing great at this difficult and very challenging challenge! Im off to a family dinner for an hour or so, but I will be back later this evening to comment on all your lovlies!!!!!!
The hardest part of this challenge was picking out stamps & ink. I had 3 stamp sets picked out with W and the only color we have with W is white (that one would have been a bit tough). I tried several other letters before settling on P. I used 3 colors & 3 stamp sets. I was going to title my card 'it's all about P', but I thought that sounded a little tacky. So, here's pink delight.
I think I did pretty darn good for myself: My letter is 'C'. I have CS in Choc Chip, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Confetti Cream, and Cambridge Designer. I have inks to match. Then in stamps I got: Coast to Coast (ret), Curvy Verses, Cheesecloth, and Canvas...on top of all of that, I went a little further and used a 'corner' punch and 'copper' brads (non su)! TFL
WOW! You ladies did amazing jobs tonight!! I cant wait to see what still comes in for this challenge! I was amazed anyone could come up with combos of 3 and 4 colors and sets! Way to go stampers!!!! Thanks for all who have played so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's mine. These were much harder than I thought they would be to complete. This first one needs something, not sure what. The second one, I wanted to use some of the new ribbon I bought last week at Michael's for $1. There are barely banana pineapples in the barely banana strip. Thanks for looking!
I went a bit crazy on this, using 5 sets and 6 colors on a single card. All sets and colors begin with 'P', and I also added pewter hardware, a paper punch, and primas! Crazy, but fun:
Looking at a few of the creations & realized this would have been so much simpler if I had checked the index in the SU catalog for sets (at least current ones). I was looking for sets with R & totally forgot about a couple that I have. My card certainly would have been different. Maybe I'll have to try another.

Ya know, I had to do the same thing when making my samples, I thought about posting the tip but everyone was coming up with great cards! Thanks for moving forward with this post! Hope to see more creations from you!;)
I enjoyed this challenge. I wish I had thought to look in the caty for all the sets I have that start with A.....but it was late. I had several dups of this image when I got up this morning as I didn't think it uploaded. I deleted them and uploaded again...so I hope it's only on there once now. Sorry!!!!
