Default Store sponges.

This is how I store sponges and daubers. I use this for the ones I don't use often or retired SU colors. The sponge circles and felt rectangles that work with a handle also work in this container. I got the container from JoAnns or Michaels, its by Creative Options. I love it, double sided. Holds A LOT.

I just received my last 3 colors of the Oxide inks. I am storing them on a rack that I use for all of my inks. I use Velcro on the bottom of each color. I have been keeping them upside down. Hope this isn't going to be a problem...Most importantly, I have decided to get rid of all of my regular distress ink colors that I now have in the Oxide inks. I really enjoy using the Oxides much better than the regular distress ones. When they come out with new colors, I will de-stash the regulars again. This way, I will still have room on my ink racks.

I hear you about enjoying the Oxides more! I do use some regular Distress along with the Oxides occasionally, to get a translucent look on top of the more painterly, opaque Oxides. I didn't think that up; the instructor in my Oxide class had us do that with one of our cards and it was kind of lovely.

As for storage, I apologize for repeating, but in case it will help someone who doesn't want to wade through the entire thread, a Ranger rep wrote this in an email:

"Distress Oxide Ink Pads should be stored flat. Since the formula contains pigment, storing the pads on the sides may result in drawing the ink to the edge of the pad.

Original Distress Ink Pads can be stored flat or on the sides. If storing these pads on the side, just be sure there is no space for the lid to open."

The're pretty quick at answering questions.

I just wrote to Tim Holtz and he answered me immediately. He said it didn't matter if the Oxide ink pads are stored right side up or upside-down. Good to know!

I have a sponge for each ink pad, and each sponge is in its own little self-seal bag. It's labelled up with just a handwritten label. I bought some self-adhesive hanger labels on eBay and this enables me to put them on binder rings. My distress inks are put in colour groups on binder rings and these are then attached to a scarf hanger, the ones that scarves are sold on (ring with hanger).
I then have my mementos done the same and a third hanger has 'other' inks on it.
