Today was a day where the technology was against me! So I almost had to upload my photo in the morning, but fortunately I figured it out. I know you'll enjoy our inspiration site this week : the Washi Arts (use the Site or the Blog)! This is a site filled with patterns and colors that incite you to go find your favorite paper and have a go at it! Please enjoy!
Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because it looks like an image on the board. Rather, take the real challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow again, and creating something brand new for the gallery!
Use the keyword: IC602 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words. Include your inspiration image in the description of your project being sure to only include links from our inspiration site or blog this week the Washi Arts Site or Blog.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many, or too little, images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorite designs! So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Another fab challenge, Audrie! I just realized that I need to add some Asian themed stamps to my arsenal.....I went for color inspiration instead. Have an awesome weekend!
To my second cousins (twins) who graduated high school this year.

I'm not a big fan of washi tape (and didn't use any on my card), but I did enjoy looking at the inspiration blog and learning about Japanese paper. Here's my card:
Love this site, thank you Audrie! I had the pleasure of visiting the Japanese Gardens at the Seattle Arboreum (sp) recently, and this enhanced your inspiration even more! I was influenced by the Chiyogami paper (first picture with blue, red and orange circles) and used this for my guy themed card with matching envelope, which also worked for the F4A382 challenge this week. Took some shaving cream marbled paper and using stitched nesting circles dies, cut out my main panels. Added my stamping and some coloring. As I just acquired these lovely orange/black/gold floral cards, I used them for some "pop" for my background, and layered on some fabric strips that reminded me of the Japanese papers in the shop. Finished with some coloring, yarn/twine bows, and a matching envelope. Here's Backhoe Birthday
