CC639 Don't be tempted to sprinkle curry in your pumpkin pie!!
HelloColorChallengeFriends!!
First business of the day: celebrating our favorite from last week:
Pam was our hostess and she picked Angela Maine's(aka Arizona Maine) card here!
This is what she said about Angela's card: "I just love the clean crisp design on Angela beautiful card! Her wonderful die cut background frames the lovely bouquet of flowers just perfectly. I think placing her sentiment on the vellum adds wonderful texture and interest."
Congrats, Angela! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below, and your card also will be pinned on our Pinterest Challenge board. Check it out here.
So, on to this weeks challenge. Our colors this week are:
Crushed Curry Pumpkin Pie Tempting Turquoise
Dessert will be to be treats of summer - feel free to interpret this is any way that works for you!!!
Here are some samples to get the creative juices flowing:
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC639 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card!
I was tempted to make a dessert themed card after the color combo references- went with chocolate, adding a dc stamped owl and ribbon combo from a friend's card. Used a dc orange tree, some layered dc tags, and a knotted baker's twine border. Here's Choco Owl

Interesting color combo - not one I'd probably think of without prompting from a challenge! I didn't do dessert today since I still need to Lose a few more pounds after my trip to Vegas!!..LOL Here's my take on the color challenge:
Wow, I'm always late to the party! Thank you so much Pam for the honor of having my card as your favorite this week and for your very kind words and for adding it to the PINTEREST board! I love the Color Challenges and try to do one when the force (energy) is with me. WHAT A FABULOUS creative TEAM!

Maura- thanks for the wonderful colors! I made this retro style father's day card using this week's colors- my dad is 87- and added a list of my favorite memories for the inside. I used baker's twines and yarns as my embellishments. Here's Best Dad Ever
