I recently got a base tray and some mini movers and shapers. Already had some Bigz dies, but they are easy to store.
I see that there was a storage tray put out by Sizzix to keep the mini pieces on, but it's retired. (And why?) How are people storing these guys? I don't want to have to pry them out of the original packaging every time I use them, and I don't think that would hold up over time, anyway.

I got a cookie sheet from the Dollar Tree, my hubby punched a couple of holes up top in the grip area, and I threaded some cord through, tied to make a hanging cooking sheet. Then I just arranged them to fit and hang them from a nail but you could also lay it flat in a drawer, etc. Now I need to make another. :-( LOL Hope this helps.
Are you referring to the tray that is used for cutting with the movers and shapers when not using a bigger die with the 'drop in' opening? I think the tray is meant for the cutting process, but if you just have a few M and S's, the tray would work too.
Yes, I was thinking a cookie sheet. Although why Sizzix discontinued a product that was the perfect size and shape to store these things, I will never know.
No, not thinking of the base tray used for cutting, there was a simple tray the same size as the base tray that was just for storing the pieces. Once upon a time.

I made the same thing only I used a metal serving tray. Works like a charm!
All very good ideas. But I want that thing they made for them. Because it is the same size as the dies and since it has sides it can be stored with the dies with no chance of pieces falling off.
Wah. Okay. I'll go buy a cookie sheet. First world problem for sure.

Why not go to a machine shop and have them cut you some sheets of metal. They should be able to round the corners so you won't have sharp edges. The price might not be too high.
How about check Container store for half height metal rectangular cookie tins. You probably can store them single layer and you will have a lid. No "jumping ship"
I saw a metal rectangle at 9.99 but the smallest round is only a little over 3-I dont know how many you have or want to collect...does it matter if it is taller than it needs to be? In which case you could make a layer sheet and have two layers.
If it does not have to be metal-then they have tons of choices.
What about the distress ink storage tins? You can see through their lids....
Check ebay-I saw a bunch of trays but I am not sure if it is the storage you want. Maybe!
All good ideas. I had thought of Distress Storage tins but I'd need several and they are not cheap.
For now I just have them on the base tray. So I would have to remove them all to use it, but there aren't that many of them.
