Default TLC638 ~ Washi Watercolor ~ {5/15/17}

Happy Mum's Day since this is being posted at the "tail end" of such a wonderful woman's holiday ! Do you celebrate ALL of the amazing women in your life? Or do you simply celebrate "MOM?" I personally love to celebrate as many women as I can because there have been so many of them who've been more like a mother to me or my children than my own mother has been. THAT is worth recognition

Anywho... today's Technique Lover's Challenge is the...

WASHI TAPE WATERCOLOR technique.

HERE is my...
WASHI WATERCOLORED LOVE YOU

And here is how you can Washi Watercolor too...

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
washi tape
dye based ink (2-3 colors)
small glass of water & small paintbrush
(OR open well brush pen such as SU!'s aquapainter)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Lightly add as many strips of washi tape to a card base.

2. Using ink and water, watercolor over the washi tape.

3. Gently remove the washi tape from watercolored card base.

4. Allow to dry before stamping and creating a card.

Voila! It's super duper easy! And the background it makes is always stunning! I hope you enjoy it!!! More importantly, I hope you simply enjoy being creative today! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Be sure to add your offerings to the
TLC638 Washi Watercolor Gallery

Interesting technique! Fun to try, but I have to admit, I had trouble not tearing up some of the paper when removing the tape.

This was fun to try. Even though I put the washi tape on my jeans before putting it on the paper, it still didn't want to release from the paper without tearing it. Thanks for the challenge:

When I use washi with this technique, I always try to remember to put it down ever so lightly so that it doesn't adhere securely. You're card turned out wonderful!
