Is this a new phenomenon I just need to get used to??? I am unable to see all the cards in a gallery without Amazon or some other ad covering part of the frist column of posts.
I will be honest here and say that because of my poor eyesight, my screen is 'blown up' rather large, so if it happens because of that then it is MY issue to deal with.
Would love to know if these 'pop over' ads are our 'new normal'.
Sorry for starting a new thread but I didn't see any other askiing about this
We do not allow flyover or pop-out ads and I haven't seen any. The protocol when you see one (they do sneak through sometimes) - is to right click the ad, paste the link here so we can block it. We can't find ads unless we have the link.
the ads are on the left.....when I view the gallery of a challenge, the ads slide/or/pop over the actually gallery from the left......using the 'slide' on the bottom of my screen I can move the gallery in and out, but I never can see all three 'columns' of the gallery in totall at once....there is always something hidden......either part of the left column....or when I 'slide that over to see, then part of the right 'column' is gone off screen to the left
I am sure what I am saying is as clear as mud, but bascially tyhe gallery slides behind the ad OR the ad slides over the left side of the gallery.....it is often the amazon ad, but it is others as well.
It does not happen in this thread as I gave it a try and here the whole screen image slides back and forth from left to right.
There must be something catching! I do believe this is only the second time ever I've had an ad that floats out across the screen. Don't know if I've copied what you need, I chose link address.
I am experiencing the same problem when trying to read threads in different categories such as Demo Business Talk. I haven't checked on my laptop, but when on an Android device, the ad that is on the left suddenly covers at least a third of the screen, making it impossible to read the threads.

That would be interesting if it's Android specific - could y'all weigh in with your devices?
I've just checked on my Android tablet, and currently, the issue is not duplicating on the tablet. It also is not occurring on my Windows 10 laptop when using Chrome. I noticed the issue on my Android phone sometime this week, and it seems to occur when I pinch or tap to zoom/expand the screen. Once I pinch to expand, the ad on the left simultaneously moves so that it is directly over a good portion of the text. Most of the ads have only had the blue arrow in the top right corner; only one has had the blue x in the corner so that I was able to click on that, select remove the ad, and select "ad covers the page". However, that did not resolve the issue and yet more ads continue to move from the left of the page onto the threads. The ads seem to be provided by Google and Amazon.
I am getting the same thing on my desktop when I scroll down to the "sponsored ads" area the add moves to the right and blocks info (like screen names and info) I will take a screenshot.....
I use the Firefox browser on my Android phone (where the issue is occurring) and the Chrome browser on my Android tablet (where the issue is currently not occurring).
It's happening to me too - for all (I think?) long, vertical ads on the left, IF I go to enlarge anything to the right of it a bit. Then it slides over to cover some of the page. Spellbinders, any of them, including that scam clothing one that has thousands of complaints about it... SheIn.
I forgot to post that I'm on an iPad using Safari. Since it's all the same size of vertical ads that do not stick where they belong : ) it would seem that it's not any one individual ad, but the format they arrive in, or that something on the website.
But Lydia and the techies will make them play nice.
Spellbinders again. Just got ForeverSpin. But it's every long vertical ad using an iPad and Safari.
Can't right click because there's no mouse. And the URL that shows on the ad is extremely long and there's no way to copy it. But the screenshot shows what shows up when you do a long press.
For those having trouble, are you using the mobile app or full site version? I prefer the full site and it may not make a difference, but I was just curious.
