This week's inspiration site "Anthropologie" branded itself with this term because it clearly represents a very wide diversity of human products and beautiful eye-candy! I am always excited to go shopping there, especially this time of year, because there is something for everyone! It's really quite intriguing to browse their site, it's very classy and yet so much fun too! I especially liked a series they did a while back on "Women of Character", one of which partially inspired my sample card today! I hope you will join us and explore the site, find something inspiring, and then create from it something uniquely beautiful, because I know that each of you are also phenomenal "women of character"!
Their story....
"Anthropologie was founded by current URBN chairman and president Dick Hayne, having heard the plea of a friend. She had just moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia, and was dissatisfied with the shopping options available to her. Now a distance from Urban Outfitters—a brand she also was aging out of—there was a void in her life. She longed for a store to indulge her creative side. Dick, realizing this wasn't an isolated phenomenon, went on to build a lifestyle brand that catered to creative, educated and affluent 30-45 year-old women. Named after his college major (but with a decidedly French twist), Anthropologie opened its very first doors in the autumn of 1992 in Wayne, Pennsylvania. We now operate over 200 stores worldwide.
Our customer is a creative-minded woman, who wants to look like herself, not the masses. She has a sense of adventure about what she wears, and although fashion is important to her, she is too busy enjoying life to be governed by the latest trends. To her, Anthropologie is a portal of discovery—a brush with what could be. A place for her to lose—and find—herself."
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today. You are welcome to provide a link to your blog, however please also provide a link to your inspiration in the description to make it easy for everyone to see what inspired you here on SCS.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Anthropologie" website. Feel free to simply be inspired by the colors and/or textures you see.
Use the keyword: IC575 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites below. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Anthropologie has been one of my favorite "boutique-like" stores to shop ever since I went into my first one in Westport, CT. Their catalogs were so beautifully produced as well. Thanks for the site today.
Thanks for introducing me to Anthropologie, Audrie! My younger sisters and nieces shop there, but I had no idea what it was since I'm old and "I live in a cave!" LOL! ;)
