CC584 Wondering who Crushed my Pumpkin Pie!!! (05-24-16)
HelloColorChallengeFriends!!
We have some cheery, spring-y colors for you this week. Before we get right at it though, let's celebrate our favorite from last week:
Barbara was our hostess and she couldn't pick just one, and so we have 2 winners this week!!
This is what she said about these fabulous cards:
"Both of these gorgeous cards achieved what I was hoping for
with the dessert option, demonstrating how blending of ink colors allows us
to achieve so many different additional colors. These two silhouette cards
take us traveling to see sunsets in the American west and in Africa. Two
stunning and inspiring cards!"
Congrats, Julie and Julie!!!!! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below, and your card also will be pinned on our Pinterest Challenge board. Check it out here.
So, on to this weeks challenge. Our colors this week are:
Crushed Curry Pumpkin Pie Watermelon Wonder
Dessert will be to your favorite green!!!! (Thats a gift to you flower-lovers, like myself!)
Here are some samples to get the creative juices flowing:
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC584 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card!
Maura- great springtime colors! My card is inspired by the amazing koi I saw in March at the Japanese Gardens in Portland. I added some no line piercing to emphasize the fish's shape on my main panel- and added some yellow beads for fun. Finished with double ribbons, a gingham vertical border, and some faux stitching. Used some spring green for my sea grass. Here's Tropical Fish

Used a favorite stamp set- Verve's Sip and Savor- with a vibrant floral background, along with a spiky pink gingham ribbon. Used my curly label punch for my sentiment and to go cup Here's Treat Yourself
