What SU stamp sets does Dies by Dave make dies for?
HI I just became aware through Pinterest of "Dies by Dave," who apparently makes dies that match a number of SU sets. He had a store on Etsy, but it doesn't seem to be there now. Can anyone tell me what sets he makes dies for, and how to find him? I'd like to purchase whatever sets of mine he makes dies for, but I don't know which ones he makes or how best to find him. Thanks so much for your help!!:-D
Here's the list I have at this point. If I have mistakes (or for the empty places) please say so. It's a quickly collected list.

I just looked at what he's currently offering. Many of the ones Diane has listed don't seem to be available. Does anyone know if he will get those back or if they were limited items?
Of course pretty much all the ones I'm interested in are either "sold out' or not listed at all :(
In the past when I've placed orders for dies and some were listed as out of stock, my order was held until all the dies were in stock before they shipped.
Unfortunately, Dave can't use SU's names/images in his descriptions in his store, but (again, in the past, so this may not be correct now) if you email him, he'll send you pics.
Shipping can be a bit slow because he's super busy making a zillion crafters very happy.

ETA Dave also made the camera for the single stamp Snapshot. I don't see it on any of his lists now, though, so I don't think it's available any more.

Those labels are the absolute current status. In following the thread on the demo side, it seems that they are coming in sooner than his projected date, and he ships them pretty quickly after they come in. If I understand it correctly, the "not available" means he's out, has ordered and not gotten a projected date from the manufacturer for them to be back in.
Dave's Dies are SO wildly popular I'm sure they won't discontinue anytime very soon!
So grateful for this info--had wondered where he went--or if they were still available. Just placed an order for a couple and will be checking back for some that were out of stock.
Love these dies--have "lovely as a tree" one and it is wonderful (no need to fussy cut all those little branches!
Thanks also for the compiled die/stamp set list. Very helpful!!
Wow. So he makes a die that matches the shape of an SU image? I imagine that is cutting it pretty close to infringing on SU images. I imagine SU has looked into seeing if they can stop him and since he is still up and running, it must be legit. I'm torn between thinking he is a brilliant entrepreneur or a bit on the shady side.

Supposedly, SU did look into it do that's why he no longer uses their images/names in his product descriptions. It's a certainty that SU knows about Dave by now and he's still making the dies, so I do believe they've reached an agreement.
SU would be short-sighted if they shut him down. There have been many, many, MANY posts here and on other boards from SU customers who say they only bought this or that stamp set because they could get coordinating dies from Dave. Coming to an agreement regarding the images used to advertise/describe the dies (if that did, indeed, happen) was the best solution for everyone.
I'm firmly in the "Dave is a brilliant entrepreneur" camp.

Thank you so much!! This is exactly what I wanted to know. It's hard to be sure when you're looking at them to be sure if it's a match for sets I have now that SU stopped him from using the names, so this list will solve that. It does beg the question, however, of why doesn't SU make dies to match their sets like many other companies do?

The new holiday catalog has many sets with dies. SU is getting the message, so I believe more and more future stamp offerings will have coordinating dies.
I doubt SU will go back and make dies for past sets, though, so yay for us that we have Dave!
Perhaps he'll branch out and make more non-SU sets, like the mini coffee cup wrap. (I've got my fingers crossed that he'll make an accessory set for that. I'd love a cuff/band and some little icons to decorate it.)

Slight hijack - if I remember correctly, Dave did a mini coffee cup wrapper die (to use with the 4 oz. size coffee cups). Does he still offer this (didn't see it listed on his site)? Does anyone? Thx!

I think this may be one of his most popular dies. I ordered several weeks ago and just got a shipping notice today!
I should have never made Dave's Dies into an icon. I decided to take another peak this morning and saw that he had added 4 more dies. I buy from Dave and then go to Stampin' Up and purchase the stamp set. It's like a good vicious cycle.

Whoa!!!!! How in the world did I miss knowing about these dies? I am a heavy lurker, frequent poster and this is the first time I've heard of Daves Dies. I'm not a demo, so maybe that explains it...
Anyway, I have been wanting the sled die that SU used a year ago in a kit and then never offered anywhere else. When I saw the Warm Wishes set in this year's holiday mini, I knew that there had to be a framelit set to go with it....NO!!!!! They made Framelits for every other set but this one - what were they thinking?!!! Anyway, I popped over to Daves and see that he has the dies for this stamp set, maybe. It says out of stock, sold out. Does that mean there is no hope of me getting this set? :(
I did send an email to Dave asking about it, but I had no idea if he is likely to respond to my inquiry. On a side note, i giggled when I saw the question that needed to be answered before the email would transmit, the catcha question to cut down on spam, it asked "what is five times two". LOL...this is not a site for those who are math challenged. ;)

Usually when it says SOLD OUT it becomes available again. You have to keep checking his website to find out when and hit it at the right time. It will say PRE ORDER and will let you order and he will send it when it's in stock. His dies are wonderful! Great idea he has. Just love them all
