This week's inspiration challenge honors the minimalists of the world with crisp, clean, relaxing designs from the Minimalist/Clean Pinterest Board by Peg Schoenfelder. As you browse this weeks inspiration board looking for the image that will get your creative juices flowing, I also challenge you to stay within the theme of "minimalistic and clean" in 1 of these three ways:
1. Create a card/project with only 1 color plus a neutral (or a monotone card), OR
2. Create a single layer card, OR
3. Create a card that is majority white space. (Remember that white space doesn't have to be "white". That's why some people call it "empty space" or "negative space" too.)
No matter which way you select to be "minimalist or clean", please also post a link to the image from the inspiration board that inspired you. For those of you that are not subscribed to Pinterest, or who get overwhelmed when there are hundreds of images to select from; I have uploaded 15 of my favorite images, shown at the end of this post, that you may be inspired by as well.
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Minimalist/Clean Pinterest Board by Peg Schoenfelder. If you are unfamiliar with how to grab the hyperlinks from a Pinterest Board, here is a helpful video:
Use the keyword: IC534 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
This fabulous CLEAN Pinterest BOARD was so relaxing and beautiful to see. The stress free feeling SURE makes me want to go and DECLUTTER everything in my entire house! Especially my overwhelming Craft Room! LOL! Now that is exactly what I call serious INSPIRATION! WOW! Thank you! I needed that! Here is my make in a not-clean, but - monotone staying with only one color (Gold) and a neutral (White); IC534, You Are the Best! by Cards_By_America - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Be interesting to see how many cards are really minimalist...our own SCS CAS Challenge has turned into a grab bag of styles(many of which are anything but CAS). Loved your site of clean line interiors and their decoration. Thanks.
Wow, what an awesome board...so fresh and clean! If my DH saw those homes, he would beg to gut my house...eek!!! Thanks for another awesome challenge!!!!!
Audrie- a most impressive site, I was influenced the Scandinavian kitchen scene and used my Impression Obsession pail die cut, colored with grey ink with my aqua painter. Added a brown mason jar, dc from my stash, along with some twine and a tag- here's Lovely Cukes

I am still a bit dizzy/coughing from the after effects of flu so I didn't jump out of bed first thing this morning but scrolled through the Pinterest board you selected this week. I PINNED so many beautiful photos. what caught my eye on many of them was the layout of the photos. It made me think of creating new card sketches from them! I hope to play along because this board inspired so many ideas but for now, I am going to rest on the couch and watch Cinderella with my girl! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

No worries about the link and thanks for telling us about your inspiration!
If you have time to give it a try one day, here are two ways you can get the url on your iPad:
1. For Pinterest: there are three little dots at the end of the icons at the top (they show up when you are focused on a Pinterest image....so after the first tap from the board)... If you tap on those three dots you'll have the option to copy the link
2. For everywhere else: Tap on the top of the screen under the time, then tap on the shortened url that will appear, now you can select all and copy from the commands that appear.
In both cases above, you would then go to where you want to paste and hold your finger down there, when the commands pop up tap 'paste'!
So sorry but you woke up the "geek" in girlgeek101 LOL

What a wonderful challenge today, Ms. Audrie. I lost myself in all those gorgeous rooms of minimalistic design. I love this style, but can't bring myself to somehow remove all the special things I've collected throughout my life's journey. Here's mine: IC634 ... Thanks for finding such a great Pinterest Board to look through. That was my most difficult thing---choosing a photo. All of them had such potential as inspiration goes.
