You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
How many times have you started your day with, today is______ s birthday. I wish Id remembered to send a card. Or are you scrambling last minute to just get one made?
With the All Occasion Card Challenge, you can put all that behind you!
Each month around the 20th, well remind you to look at your card recipient list for the coming month.
WHO: Everyone that needs cards for b-days, anniversaries, get well....you know-anything.
WHAT: A way to get those card needs met ahead of time so you aren't scrambling at midnight to finish before next days event...(yeah, I know I've seen you there with me) There is no score keeping here!
It's all for you and helping you stay motivated. Just look ahead to coming month and see what you need. then challenge yourself to get them done using our challenges or not. some months you may need 10 b-day cards and the next month none. whatever you need for coming month is what you do. For instance; some months I don't have any events and plan to do cards for the stash that I have trouble making at last minute like get well and sympathy cards.
WHY:To relieve stress! This way youll have cards for all your events made ahead!! We all know how busy life can be, so why not try to get your cards all done by the end of current month instead of night before! Remember, the whole idea behind this challenge is to make your life easier. we can all use that, right?
WHERE: First upload to your gallery then post a link in the designated thread. Please use AOCC16 in the Title or Keyword so that others can search for your cards! Please use only the thread that I start for each month or you might be missed, and we want y'all to get plenty of lovin for being such good overachievers.
To attach a link here, when the page you want us to go see is open, go to the address bar and 'copy the whole thing' then go to where you want it seen and paste it in the post box. If you need instructions for this check the attached PDF file drawn up by Vikki or PM me for further assistance.
WHEN: The whole month! There is no 'deadline' for getting your monthly cards done. This is just a motivational challenge to help you!
HOW: Just post a reply to this thread saying that you want to join and then start creating! Make your cards any way you like. Any tools, toys, gadgets, embellishments, etc...you decide- after all, these are YOUR cards.
Remember: with postal changes, mail may take a bit longer. Mailing within the first week of the month will help insure they have their card in plenty of time to enjoy it. Obviously, if their occasion is within that first week, youll want to mail earlier.
CHALLENGES:
There will be a challenge posted once a month. It will be posted in the second post of each separate month, and also in the main AOCC16 thread. (this one) You may use the challenge, or not, in your card designs. They are just to get the mojo going.
POSTING YOUR CARDS:
Because this is a challenge group, it is encouraged that you post a link to your gallery where everyone can leave you LOVINS, in the appropriate thread for each month.
Please save this post so you can find the monthly challenges. I will try to remember to post the current month link in this thread on the day I post the challenge for that month there.
KEYWORDS for each month have been added to Post #1 in each month.
I'm here. Where's here? LOL! What is AOCC16 and can I play?;)
Good morning, Kathy!
If you've played the Christmas Card Challenge, this is similar except we encourage you to focus on any birthday/ anniversary/ occasion cards you may need to get mailed out for the coming month.

Yes Kelly and raring to go, ha,ha, Steve's is January 12th, he is not a card person but seeing as he is 65 I Think I will make a card for him, he will faint with shock. Officially a pensioner, oh dear me.
You know, I never really knew about this challenge but I am in!! I have so many cards to make and seem to be last minute- maybe this will help my procrastination problem :-) Thanks for hosting this thread- hugs!
I'm turning over a new leaf: my first card needed for the year is going to be ready and mailed on time, which will be a huge surprise for my grandson when he turns 19 on Jan 7th. This occasion is being made even more auspicious because I'm using a stamp I've had for 2 years, which has never seen ink. Seeing as how he lives in the midwest and is covered in snow right now, the stamp set I'm using is entirely appropriate: Two Feet Deep (by Papertrey Ink).

Hi Kelly! So good to see you hosting again! Ina did a great job of keeping this challenge going to last couple of years. I don't always post, but love the encouragement and reminders to keep on top of things.

Hey kiddo! Thank you! Decided the time had come to dip my toes back in the water. Feels good to be connecting with all of you gals again. I am thankful for Ina, who stepped up when I needed her. She's a pal.

Hey Julie! Good to see you joining us. The key is to check in regularly. Make an appointment with yourself to check this thread or the monthly thread. All challenges will be posted to the monthly thread about 1-2 weeks prior to the beginning of that month (so Feb. will post around the 21st of January)
If you need anything, just ask.

Windy here and cold as well! I created a Valentine's Day card for a color/sketch challenge but need to create a few birthday cards for later this month. My hubby will have his bi-monthly maintenance chemo tomorrow and a physical on Wed. so I will not be able to stamp again until Thursday :-)

I'm ready for spring.

Kelly, I have already posted a card for May! I don't know when to post them when I make them this far ahead of time. In the month they are for? Or in the month I make it?
What say you?
Vickie...Vickie...yes...yes,,,yes...come join the fun Kathy (muscrat) the sane one is here too!
Hi Lynne! It's so good to re-connect again! (hope I spelled your name correctly...I can never remember if it ends in e or no e )! Glad to "see" both you and Kathy again!
they told me I had to drop the e from my name when I slid down the hill in the back trying to take a video...I was told all they heard was...eeeeeeeeeeee...then laughing as I stopped in a pile of snow...camera held high!
LOL I'm glad it was the eeeeeeeeeeeeee that dropped and not the camera, and, more importantly that you were found laughing...bet that was a fun ride....not!
Its nice to know I'm the sane one! Sometimes I wonder! So....Lynn falls in the snow but at least she gets to slide! When I fell at the movie theater, there was no snow and no sliding. Only a feeling of stupidity. Luckily there was only that one guy in the back and he didn't dare laugh because I pointed right back at him and told him it was not allowed! Then I laughed hysterically myself!
Oh my, Kathy! I'm trying to suppress my laughter! It's bad enough visualizing your fall at the theater, but for some reason, I'm visualizing you sliding down the aisle, arms outstretched like Super Girl!
