TLC567 ~ Other Than A Stamp ~ (1/04/16)
Hello everyone!!! I hope you are all rested after the busy holiday season....are you ready to get inky?? I am posting a little early tonight because I have to watch Downton Abby...the 6th season starts tonight!!!
It's my turn to host this weeks challenge and I have a messy one for you!! I challenge you to find something in your house...in the kitchen drawers, on the Christmas tree, on your husband's dresser, in the garage..to stamp with besides stamps!!! The challenge is called Other Than A Stamp...you need to use something other than a stamp to create your design.
Here are the deets:
1. Find something to stamp with ...for example: jar lids, plastic flowers, foliage, keys, money, balls, cookie cutters, pencils, etc.
2. Use an ink pad or reinkers on a plastic sheet...ink up the object and stamp it, roll it, or rub it on the paper.
3. You can create a background or diecut the finished paper...what ever fits your design.
4. You are good as long as something on your card has been stamped with something other than a stamp.
5. I can't wait to see what you used!!!
My Sample:
Hello
Be sure to add TLC567 to the key words line of your upload so you card can live in the TLC567 gallery!!!

TLC567 January greetings
Joan- awesome challenge! I used a lemon mesh bag moistened with water to spread my turquoise background color- and used a stencil created from Tim Holtz's winter greenery die set. Added a strawberry candy wrapper and yarn/brad combo for embellishments. Here's January greetings

CAS358: Called for the word 'Happy'. So I have Happy Birthday on the card.
TLC567: Called for stamping the card with anything but a stamp - I used two different sponges.

TLC567 Snowy Bookmark
Joan- had to do another one! Went with a wine cork for my stamped circles to mimic the round snowflakes- added some fabric, and did a bit of coloring. Added a keyhole style tag topper for my winter style creation. Here's Snowy Bookmark

Very creative challenge today, Joan! Here's my messy background made by driving my grandson's toy cars through acrylic paint and driving them over my paper : )

This was my 1st challenge submission! Thank you Joan for a great idea!
My card was "A handy Miss you" where I used my hand as the "stamp!"

I'm combining with the CAS challenge today. I had to use my little goat that I cut out on my cutting machine about a year ago and used him for a stamp. I cut the goat several times and glued them all together, with the last one being cut from vinyl. I just use a marker to ink it up and then spritz it with some water. It never stamps the same twice and I never have been able to stamp a complete image, but I like the way he turns out spotted.
Here's my card:

Had to change yesterday's card. It was bothering me too much. Perfectionist sneaking out a little. Here's the new version:
