Hello everyone. My name is Dani. I am not new to Splitcoast, however, due to a bout of amnesia I was gone for what seems like a long time. If you remember me please let me know. Here are a few names that came back to me: blue, fmcrafter, Yvonne, Lynn. If you used to chat with me please let me know. I can not remember how to get around in the site so I am going to go figure that out. Thank you.
Hi Dani, I just checked other posts by you and you were posting around 2-3 years ago. If you click on your name you should get the option Find More Posts by DellsDani. Hopefully they will remind you of what you did. I hope you get your memory back. It must be awful to have such a blank period in your life.

I remember the both of you. Thank you for helping me. Stephanie, I have most of it back. Names will come back especially if I see the name. It gives me a shove if you know what I mean. From what I am gathering I did quite a lot for Splitcoast, I'd like to get back where I left off. So if volunteers are needed count me in.
Blue, Thank you for looking for me. Once I got my memory back I wondered if anyone from Splitcoast was worried. It's nice to know people care. I hope all is well with you. There is something you could help me with, If it's okay I'd like to do the Alphabet Challenge again. I remember how it works, however I do not remember what I need to do to get it started. Nor do I remember who to ask. If you can point me in the right direction I sure would appreciate it. I'd also like to be part of the group that sends out birthday cards to the members however I can't remember the groups name. The doc says the more I live like I did before the memory loss the more my memory will return. The problem is I only remember those two things. So if you or anyone can get me back to doing what I was doing before I had the amnesia I sure would love that. How are things with you? I hope all is well. Oh do I need to apply for new membership since I was gone for so long?

The Alphabet Challenge was fun. From what I can remember, you gave us a letter of the week, we made cards using things that started with that letter: image, colors, techniques, anything we could think of.
So sorry to hear about the memory problem. Let us know how you continue to improve. This New Year will hopefully be a fresh start for you!
Omg I remember each of you. If I recall we all spent time chatting. About what well I am sorry I don't remember that part....yet. Lol I am so happy that you missed me. It makes me feel like an important part of SCS, thank you. Lynn, are you okay? Can I ask what health issues you are dealing with?
I do remember the alphabet challenge now however I do not remember how to set it up. Once I do I sure hope you all will play. Lol my daughter just said I would always say ya'll. OK I hope y'all will play.
Dani, can you fill us in on how you lost your memory? Also how it came back. I think to start a challenge you just go to the challenge section and start a new thread. I ran a challenge or two, but its been a while.
Thank you I will try that. Honestly, I do not remember what happened I just know what I was told. I took a fall and on top of that I was given a medication that didn't mix with one of the medications I was on. As far as getting it back well I believe my daughter has a lot to do with that. She would show me pictures of people and things I made. In fact the way I remembered SCS was from a letter that was sent to me. Things come back each day even though I got the greater part of my memory back 9 months ago.
I do have what might seem to be a silly question... I got all my stamping stuff out of the basement and I now have a stamping room again. Only I have an empty bottle of stamp cleaner and I cannot remember what to fill it with.
Thank you. I've been so nervous about that. In fact I have done nothing but organize my stamping room because I was so afraid of trying to make a card. I was worried that it would look my 5 year old grandson made it. During my down time ( as we call it ) I taught myself how to do acrylic nails along with Nail art. I want to see if I can somehow merge the two, card making techniques and Nail art techniques. Oh and I have also been going out of my mind ( no pun intended ) trying to find my score pal. My family says I must be thinking of something else. But I know what I am talking about. It's a small grey square thing and it is used for scoring paper. If I am wrong someone please correct me.
Yes, the Scor Pal is like you remember. You can use Google search and click on images to see it.
Yes, you were good at making cards and you will be again. However, your style may change and it might be more difficult at first to get started. Try not to get discouraged and hang in there! Keep trying! You'll find a new style and it will be great!
I had brain surgery 10 years ago and I couldn't make one card after that. I didn't know what to do beyond stamping the image. Someone referred me to Splitcoaststampers. I would view card after card, day after day until finally I tried again. It didn't come natural to me and I had to work at it. However, it was either give up, get rid of everything or keep trying. SCS kept me motivated to keep trying. Some days it's still difficult, but I have more good mojo days than uncreative ones now.
Don't be afraid of a new style, a new way of doing things - keep going forward!
Diane, I would never have guessed. Your gallery is gorgeous. I've been peeking! You seem to be getting much more comfortable in your crafting because I remember when we did the mix it up challenge and you didn't like new techniques or folds. You are very good at those now! I have seen some of your cards on the favs of the week too! Way to go girl!
Wow thread is very in encouraging it is difficult for me stamps to my hand don't work. so my mom stamps them images help me put the cards cards together. Or my friends cardkits me to put together. Because I can't cut paper either. I think someone should start a support group for us difficult stampers. I not sure what things should put in thread any ideal on this? hotwheels

Linda, sandy parker has a YouTube channel you might like. Its for crafter's who have physical limitations and how to continue in our craft using her tips and tricks. I'll go find a link for you.
Diane, thank you ever so much. I still haven't tried making a card yet. In fact that's part of why I want to start the alphabet challenge back up, it will force me to make cards. Good, bad or otherwise, I know I'll get encouraged by scsers. My husband is taking me to Las Vegas for a short 4 day vacation. We leave on the 10th and come back the 14th. So if anyone would like to see the Alphabet Challenge start back up I will do that when I get back from Vegas. Hotwheels, there is a forum here on SCS called support groups. Maybe you could start one up. I'm sorry but I don't remember how to post the link.
Question what is the Alphabet Challenge? Dani is talking about. How did it work in pass? I ma just wondering about it! Dani I can tell you posted a link. Go to the address bar drag mouse over the address in the address bar, left click on the mouse and the address should be lightlitted. then right click on the mouse hit copy. and to reply where type a message. and put crosser in the reply box. and right click on the mouse and hit paste and the link show up. The Alphabet Challenge was lots of fun. It's like the Word Play challenge, except only with one letter. I would use color names, images, accessories, techniques. Anything that started with the letter of the week!
Good morning everyone. Hotwheels thank you for the help. I sure do appreciate it. We did have fun with the Alphabet Challenge. I will definitely start it back up when I get back from my vacation. In the meantime please decide if I should do a straight alphabet challenge or a random. The straight is we start with the letter A then the next week we do B then C and so on. The random is where I put all the letters of the Alphabet in a bowl and each week I draw a letter. Also, we need to choose which day of the week we should hold it on. I'm so excited to be back with my SCS friends. Just so you know I will also be holding a swap when I get back. Any certain swap y'all would like me to do? Dani
I will probably play in an alphabet challenge, but I don't participate in swaps anymore. Postage is too much and I end up sharing the cards I get anyway because I don't like sending a card I haven't made. Let us know when the challenge starts. Kathy, I'm thrilled that you will play along with the Alphabet Challenge. No problem with the swaps postage is crazy high these days. Your right doing the Alphabet Challenge straight will be the best way to start. Do you remember what day of the week we held it on?
Good morning everyone. I was given the okay to start the Alphabet Challenge back up. If I can find time before I go on vacation Sunday I will set it up to start on January 20. Otherwise I will set it up once I get back.
You probably won't remember me but that's okay. I'm lousy at remembering people and I don't have any excuse. I did want to let you know that you were definitely missed and did have people in the RAK group who were worried about you, asking if you were okay, wondering if I had any information about how you were. So glad to see you back on-line!
