Hi,
I don't really know you and you don't really know me. In fact, I never heard of your blog until about an hour ago. I found it stamped on the back of a card that you must have created and then donated to the hospital (MD Anderson Cancer Center). The volunteer department here has been giving out some of the most beautiful one-of-a-kind cards to us patients and I kept wishing I could thank the people who make these cards and donate them. I was really excited to find your stamp on the back because now I can finally thank someone who is at the producing end of the cards.
I am 28 years old and have been fighting leukemia for 5 years now. I had a bone marrow transplant in June 2015 and I'm slowly getting better. Looking through the card choices and choosing one is one of the highlights of my day and gives me a lovely way to stay in touch with friends and family back home. (I'm from NY and have been here in Texas for 6 months now). Thank you so very much for your generosity of time, energy, creativity, thought and materials in making and donating these cards. They mean a lot to me, and I'm sure other patients as well.
Very emotional; so glad that someone remembered to add their info on the back of their cards and for this young woman to reach out and give thanks. Wow!
Thank you for posting this Dina! How rewarding for us to get a glimpse of just one of the many patients that our hand made cards have touched so deeply~ I feel the warm fuzzies all over!

Dini, thanks I am crying to ,it makes it so real to read something like that ,we do make a difference in someone's life ,I am so proud to be a part of HYCCT
Wow. How wonderfully touching!
I wonder if we could get a manufacturer to make up a 150-200 little stamps that say something about being made by a Splitcoaststampers member? Maybe they'd make it if a bunch of us pitched in and bought them in advance. That way, any cards we make for HYCCT or any of the other "charities" could see our connection to this site.
How truly lovely! It is so sweet to know we make a small difference in someone's life during a difficult time. How sweet of her to make contact and let us know!

So wonderful. Dina, thanks for sharing her note with all of us. This is our mission and we have been successful in touching at least one patient, likely many patients. Just what I needed to hear as we start our holiday season.
Thank you Dina for this post. I am so hope that each and every one of these great families can take a card and know that so many of us wanted to do something to brighten their day. This is the highlight of this entire HYCCT for me.
Thank you for sharing. I loved reading it as it gave me good vibes that we can make someone smile. I think that's a good idea with the HYCCT stamp, I may just have to make one. I already stamp my name on the back & year but I love the HYCCT idea.
