Challenge Title: Tag, You're It!
Hostess: bejoyce aka Barbara
Keyword:HYCCT1510
Date:Saturday, October 10, 2015
Welcome to Day 10 of this year's Hope You Can Cling To card drive! We are thrilled you are here with us, and we have some amazingly creative challenges for you for the month - from some alumni of this challenge and some great new hosts as well. Every year I'm in awe of their creativity - if you could just give them a round of virtual applause right now, I'd appreciate it!
Remember that the most important part of this challenges is actually mailing your cards to MD Anderson - this challenge is such a blessing to the patients and their families, and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity throughout the month.
So let's get started, shall we?
Every year, I faithfully go for my mammogram. Although I have been fortunate that everything has come out OK, I've had a few scares along the way, including a surgical biopsy and a core needle biopsy. During that last procedure, the doctor explained to me that he was inserting a tiny metal tag in the area that he had worked on, so that the area would be noted in future imaging. My tag is a boring rectangle, but I have a friend whose tag is actually shaped like the breast cancer awareness ribbon.
It is my hope that you never need a tag inside your breast, but I would like for you to put one on your card for this challenge! Yes, my challenge is for you to make a card with a tag on it!

I didn't know about the breast tags....interesting info, Barbara. For me, your challenge was very timely in relation to the card that I had uploaded for the IC today....your challenge meshed PERFECTLY! Thanks.
Good Morning, Everyone! In Seattle, it's a rainy Saturday morning, but in my craft room the sun is shining because of all the HYCCT love that's being spread around. I hope you can find a few minutes to make a card for this challenge, upload it, and then pop in here to say hello! Have a great day! Go stamp something pretty!

Barbara, I will finish my card a bit later as I'm off to a SU meeting this morning. Great challenge. Sending some California sunshine your way. It was over 100 degrees here yesterday! Great challenge for us today.
Thanks for the challenge Barbara! We're having a gorgeous Fall weekend here in the Twin Cities...sunny and warm..it'll be low 70's today and up to 80 tomorrow!..I'll take it...not many of these days left..might be the last. The leaves are amazing but still only about half turned.
Barbara- great challenge, thanks! Just sent 2 medium priority boxes to Texas full of cards in little plastic bags- that felt great!
Had this lovely card background in my stash from my friend Sheila- added a cream colored tag with punched edges, and ribbons and gems, along with this dc flower from a recent stamp event- my brand of re-using! I love pink and brown together! Here's HYCCT1510 For you

We must be neighbors--well, as far as the Internet world goes. I'm in the "Inland Empire" of SoCal.
Yesterday's heat was a killer. It's supposed to "cool down" to the mid-90s this week. UGH! I hate SoCal summers!
On the upside, we have had some beautiful blue skies all summer, thanks to the El Nino. Normally, we can't see the mountains for the smog that settles in during the summer heat.
Whew, this was a challenge for me Barbara! Tags are one of my least favorite things to make - I like them but mine never come out the way I envision them so I get discouraged. I combined the HYCCT challenge with today's IC challenge as well. I killed two birds with one stone.
Barbara, finally finishing up your card to post here. I had my tag done for days but fussed around to figure out how to incorporate it into the card. I hope my lady doesn't offend anyone. I think she's beautiful.

Kathy, I'd already seen and commented on your card before I saw your comment here. I LOVE your card and agree: she is beautiful! I pinned this card to our Pinterest board right away. Such an inspiration to a patient who is going through chemo to see how chic and beautiful she can be. I'm sending you a PM.

Angie, I'm so glad you found time to make a card for this challenge and post it. I can't see it yet because it's waiting to be approved. I'm sure the mods are swamped with the great response to HYCCT. I'll keep checking. Meanwhile, thanks for playing along!
