Hello everyone,
Can't wait for this event! Got my smash a few weeks ago, they were analyzing differently this time. Dividing the x-ray into sections to look deeper. Of course insurance will not cover that but I told them to do it with breast cancer in my family.

My upcoming smash will be 3-D. Having dealt with DCIS 12 years ago, I'm glad of the more information... and my insurance will cover it. Yay.

Ductal carcinoma in situ. Like, stage zero breast cancer-- very early intervention. For me, it meant removing the tissue, radiation, no lymph node involvement and no chemo. Still scary.

I not a hostesses But, mom did get the report she hope but, They find a sport on lung But, don't think cancer but not sure. She has go back Tulsa OK November for another check up. When just get back Last Tuesday. from Tulsa OK They Dr. Are treating like phemoic for now. But, she has not been sick. So, the doctor don't what to think at this point? so my question can she taken the cards I make for HYCCT can she take Tulsa OK Cancer Treatment Center Of American? Instead of send to Anderson Cancer center? How many challenge will be a day? Thanks hotwheels
Ps please prayer family my had breast cancer but 6 month ago she cancer free but they a spot on lung and doctor don't think cancer but the not sure.
Linda, there will be "at least one" challenge a day (a total of 39 this year!). I think in the spirit of the challenges, it would be absolutely fine for your mom to take cards to the place that has meant something to her. The most important thing is to use the cards to bring courage and hope to people who are facing difficult times... I sent one of my cards already to a friend locally who lost her husband to cancer last year. If the center in OK doesn't have a program in place for sharing cards, maybe they will start one! Thinking of you and your mom as she goes through this time of uncertainty.
Thanks the center where mom goes did not know this. But we take card every time we go drop the of in the library. And say free cards and watch throw window. They don't we do it! But the canter dose not we do this. Bur the word around center gets out. I love watching the people go throw cards. thanks hotwheels

It takes some of us a little longer to find these threads! I'm excited that it's almost time for HYCCT - I just wish it didn't happen in October. It makes the month go really, really fast and where I live that brings me closer and closer to winter!
I just stumbled across this thread (via Lydia's Blog) and am looking forward to participating this year. MD Anderson took very good care of a friend battling stage 4 triple negative breast cancer last year. She lost her fight last November but not for lack of trying or the support and care of the MDA Staff. Very happy to pay it forward in any way I can.
