This week I was encouraged to select an inspiration site to inspire creative tangling due to the growing number of Zentangle designs we can find on SCS (and all over the internet!). Therefore this weeks' Inspiration Challenge is the beautiful "All Things Tangled" website! Of course, I offer you the creative freedom of picking any photo or image for any reason whatsoever, and letting it take you wherever it may! However, I'm truly hoping you'll take the challenge of adding something Zentangled onto your project in honor of this amazing form of art! I found it to be a lot of fun to play with, and versatile enough for both clean and simple stampers, and those who prefer more layered styles and techniques such as Mixed Media! Check out the 30 sample patterns in the video below for some quick and easy ideas for your focal points or backgrounds! Please join me this week and give it a try. You might find like I did, that you love it - and you might even end up on my "Inspiration Genius Awards Pinterest board" too!
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the "All Things Tangled" website. TIP: Just right click on the image you like and select "Copy Image Address" or "Copy Link", depending if you are on a Mac or PC, to capture the link to paste in your upload description.
Use the keyword: IC511 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Thank you, Audrie!! After a couple of minutes of hyperventilating, I settled down and accepted the challenge! Thank you for the video....without it, I would have passed on today's challenge!!
Oh my! I have looked at LOTS of sites over the years and this is absolutely the best. I really love her download of the different designs! I can hardly wait to play later today! THANK YOU for the wonderful site!
I think this is the most beautifully creative gallery I have seen! Everyone being courageous and trying something new - and surprising themselves with gorgeous results! I love it!
You are welcome. I will try to include videos whenever a technique plays into the inspiration theme from now on. P.S. That zentangle border is 'off the hook.!
Hugs,
Audrie

Thank you Audrie for this wonderful inspiration. I needed the push to try this art form; I've been feeling intimidated by this technique due to having arthritic hands and my very nearsighted eyes that can't see well up close. I actually had fun creating my zentangle background. Here is my card, IC511, IC509 Loopy Tangle by asweetjewel - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
