Default Ellen Hutson L.L.C. In Fire Area?

Does anyone know if they are safe from the Washington wild fires? I think they are in Issaquah.

Assuming Ellen is in Issaquah, that is 17 miles east of Seattle, basically a suburb. The Sleepy Hollow fire is at Wenatchee, about 140 miles east of Seattle.

So no, there would be no problems for them.

That fire is one of the nasty ones to fight, based on the news reports. Brings back memories of our fires of 2011 and 2012 and 2013. I could see the flames from the hill behind my house then, and we lived in choking smoke for a couple of weeks.

Glad to hear that they're out of harm's way! I grew up in southern California, and brush fires were VERY common! When I was in 8th grade we could see the entire range of hills that separated us from Orange County on fire for weeks - we'd just sit on the roof and watch (and hope the wind didn't shift to push the flames farther down our way). That winter we had mudslides and flooding, since the vegetation that held everything in place was gone...

My husband (a native upstate New Yorker) refers to California as "nature's amusement park of natural disasters", lol! It doesn't help that he was there for the Landers earthquake in 1992, and the "fire siege of 2003". Fire, flood, earthquake...hmmm...maybe he's right... (I still miss the beach, though)

There's a mountain range between Issaquah and Wenatchee, so quite a bit of distance between the two. We spent a lot of short vacations over in the Wenatchee/Chelan area when our kids were young, hope they can get this thing under control.
