I have looked at all my local stamping/crafting stores and have only been able to locate a multi color pack of embossing powders with a small white container. I think this could be something I would use a lot as I really like the look when I see watercolored flowers, ect here. So where do you buy your favorite white embossing powder? I would like a very white white and would prefer to order online. I look forward to everyone's feedback as I would like to order some soon!

I love the Hero Art white embossing powder. It gives a wonderful outline, great for delicate or bigger areas. I have tried so many different whites for embossing and this one is my main go to.
I have the Stampendous Detail White... nothing else to compare it to, though, in terms of brightness. I don't remember where I bought it... probably Consumer Crafts or Joann.
The whitest of my three is Ranger's Fine Detail, probably the one I use most.
Another vote for Ranger's Fine Detail here.
Tip for embossing powders, if you keep larger containers of your favorites. To keep them from clumping or going bad in humid conditions, I save charcoal and gel packs present in items I've purchased. It only takes one to keep your powders from smelling or clumping. You can even refresh them in your microwave. I've tried rice, and don't like it.

I'm not sure which brand I use, but I do use the fine detail kind. My problem is that it turns an ivory color over time. Guess I don't use it up fast enough?
I have Ranger Detail and Hero Arts, and like them both. One thing I did not see mentioned that works best for me to get a bright white is to use white pigment ink under the powder, instead of Versamark.
Thanks everyone for your responses, plan to go online and order the Hero Arts to start and the Ranger if my favorite online store has both! I love this look and really want to give it a try on some watercolor paper.

I always thought SU was the whitest, at least it was lots whiter than Craft Essentials from Joann. I am going to look into the suggestions here. Thanks!
Where does one get the Ranger Detail kind
Of white embossing powder? Is that its full name?
I need to try that white embossing of a floral image on water color paper, as someone showed us, and then ink the background with a distress ink and a water brush. Oh for a day that is all mine!!!
For detail colors like white, black, gold, silver, or clear, I've bought mine in bulk from a seller on ebay. You get 1/4 lb. and I've been happy with the powder. They have 100% positive feedback and are a top seller, so that tells you how well they do. Clear is less than the colors, but if you use a lot, like they are now with watercoloring, bulk can be the way to go. $12 for 1/4 lb.
In general I have been happiest with SU powders. They seem to always give me a nice glossy finish. I've had other brands where if I heat a nanosecond too long they turn flat, not glossy. I haven't noticed a shelf life on SU's -- I've had some about 15 years.
