Whew! I don't know about you but I had one heck of a week! So I'm really excited about settling into some relaxing creative arts this weekend. This idea led me to select something artistically inspiring yet relaxing for this week's Inspiration Challenge site. You'll just love the artwork by Kant Harusaki (Kanta Harusaki). Kanta is a famous Japanese watercolorist, who was born in Kumamoto. His watercolor work began at the age of 32 years (so it's never too late to find the artist in you).
There is a wonderful collection of his amazing artwork on this week's inspiration site: Harusaki Water Color. I hope you'll also enjoy a slow relaxing journey through almost 10 years of this artist's work on the site, and that you'll be inspired to create your own art, in turn.

Here is the BIG TIP for getting hyperlinks for your card descriptions: Just Right-Click on the THUMBNAILS (the smaller images rather than clicking on them first) and select "Copy Image Address" or "Copy Link" from the commands that pop up. Note: If you have an OLD version of Internet Explorer you may have to right-click the image and select "Properties" first, then highlight the URL displayed in the "Properties" window after "Address." Then you'll be able to right-click the URL and select "Copy."
Challenge Goals:
Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today. Please be sure that all of your descriptions have a link back to your inspiration piece available only from the Harusaki Water Colorwebsite.
Use the keyword: IC479 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites...so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge.
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Sigh.....such beeeeautiful paintings!!! Thanks for another awesome challenge!! Hubs is headed to an outdoorsman show this morning, so I'm going to pick a second painting and head back to my stampy room....will be back later! Here is my first:
So many gorgeous images to choose from. Here's my card and my inspiration.
I didn't open the image all the way, I just saw the pinks and purples of the flowers.

Wow Audrie....you find the most! amazing sites for all of us to be inspired by. This one was really so fabulous...thanks so very much mf. I just loved looking at the beauties created there.
This is my second time to try Water-coloring, and I think i got the hang of it today - yay! On the background I used watercolor pencils and water, on the tree I used water color paints. Cool challenge!
I chose this as my challenge piece

I love the fourth picture that looks like the cherries are floating in mid-air. I tried to give the same effect with my little bear and the enamel dots.
I just love the soft colors of Kanta Harusaki! I used a Cocoa the mouse stamp, doing a bleed with my aqua painter. Added a sushi "grass" border from my takeout, and a simple ribbons/floss/button border. Here's Cocoa's Flowers

Well this is funny! I only thought there was one page of watercolors from him. I have to go back now and look at some more. I found a landscape that fit my colors better!! I loved seeing the rest!

What a wonderful challenge for a spring-like day in late winter! How I love this artist! and I really wanted to master (or at least get a good result :-) from stamping for a watercolor effect. I just love it, will definitely be doing this more often, especially after seeing all of the beautiful cards for this inspiration.
Here's my inspiration piece, among so many others I loved, because watery dreamy blues and greens just get me: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I have done two of this, the second one uses the same stamps just in a one layer type configuration. but, I got this one to load in the gallery this afternoon.
I just watched the serene video you have given us for inspiration. It has given me several ideas which I will work on in the near future. (On the 7th I struggling with a computer crash)
