Default San Juan, Puerto Rico

Hi all,
I will be going to San Juan, PR. in 2 weeks. Need ideas on things to see and places to go. I will be by myself mostly since hubby will be working. Also, any scrapbooking stores that I can visit while I'm there. I will have a car. Any help will be appreciated.
Very excited, can't wait to get there.

I wasn't into papercrafting when I went to San Juan so all I remember are the street vendors selling jewelry and other cool things. Hope someone can help you. It would be interesting to hear what others have to say.

Thank you Kathy. I think street vendors are great, usually find neat things for gifts.

Old San Juan and the fort are interesting. There is the rainforest...we didn't get there. We took a catamaran to go snorkeling but I don't remember where.

We went into the rain forest a little. We also went out on a catamaran. I didn't snorkel, but many of my group did. Too many jellyfish. One of our group got stung trying to show us how to pick up a jellyfish without getting stung! I bought jewelry made of seeds from a street vendor. He wrote what each seed was on his business card.

Hi Kathy and Arlene,
Thank you for your response. I am looking forward to visiting El Morro, and Old San Juan. I have heard so many good things about both. Depending on how bad it is to drive, I might try the rainforest. Any suggestions on places to eat?
Thanks,
CK

It has been too many years since we were there to remember. My husband's favorite meal was a fried red snapper at a cafe where we sat outside. It grossed me out because it was the WHOLE fish and I prefer my fish to be swimming in the Caribbean Sea while I'm snorkeling! LOL!

Have fun!

We were fed in homes of church members. I was on a missions trip, although they treated us like we were on vacation! During the day we cleaned brush from the lot they intended to use to build their church. After 3 they took us wonderful places.
