Chicks who use Paper Power Tools to Stamp and Scrap
Who are the Chics that use Paper Power Tools and What is a Paper Power Tool?
Our definition of a Paper Power Tool: anything that manipulates paper from it's original version. The tool can be powered by electricity or by hand. Everybody has some sort of power tool in their craft toolbox I guarantee you. Here are some examples from the simplest to the most advanced:
shape punches
border punches
distressing tool
stylus/embossing templates
paper piercer
hand-cranked die-cutting machines:Cuttlebug/Big Shot etc.
paper crimper
paper tearing ruler or guide
decorative edge scissors
embossing folders used with Cuttlebug/Big Shot etc.
digital die-cutting machines: Cricut, Slice, Silhouette, Pazzles, etc.
sewing machine or needle & thread
We are Chics who enjoy creating with our Paper Power Tools and our stamps. We create cards and/or scrapbook pages. We make tags, ATC's, inchies, and altered items. We don't always use a power tool on a project but, we do upload our creations to our blogs because we love sharing and inspiring others. If you can handle the following guidelines then this is the group for you.
Please note: We have just revised our name and our rules and have opened up the doors to new members. Just post in this thread if you would like to join and can abide by the following guidelines.
Updated Guidelines as of 9/27/14:
Pop into this thread whenever you have uploaded a new creation to your blog or your SCS Gallery. You do not have to use an electronic cutting machine to join us.
Try to visit as many people as you can while you are here and leave a comment on their latest post.
Become a follower of everyone who joins the group.
Practice good blogging etiquette: return comments and follows when you have time.
There are no hard and fast rules as to how often you have to blog. Some of us blog more than others. And Life Happens. That part is up to you. Just share with us when you do update.
When you pop in all you have to say is "updated my blog with____". OR "updated my SCS Gallery. It doesn't get any easier!
Add us to your side bar under the heading Chics with Paper Power Tools.
Our group is small enough that we should also try to really get to know one another. Feel free to share what is going on in your life as well. It's not all about the comments.
This last guideline is optional: participate in monthly challenges with the group. Again, we realize that things happen that may not allow you to participate, but it is a great way to get inspiration and share your projects.

Hi Joyce! Thanks for hosting. I would still like to be a part of the group as well. Even though I don't get on here as much as I would like I love chatting with everyone.
did a bit of organizing my workspace/desk and decluttering my head lol. and sketched out some card ideas so iʻm hoping this week iʻll have time to actually sit and create!
a hurricane is passing a hundred or so miles south of us so itʻs cold weather and rain... LOVE IT. canʻt wait for our winter weather to get here!!
Winter weather? Blech! Our winters have been so nasty the last few years that I could do without. I do remember how hot and muggy HI can be tho, so I can see why you would be looking for a break!
yes, with the summer weʻve had and record heat temperatures, it was a much welcomed break!!
hope your winter is a bit nicer this year... although i think i read somewhere that itʻs probably going to be bad :( but weʻre not there yet so enjoy fall while you can!! haha!!
i made a card yesterday! yikes itʻs been so long iʻm soooooo out of practice!
joyce is it just the 3 of us that have checked in that are continuing on with this group?
Yip, just the three of us. If more don't come, I will shut it down at the end of the year.
Making cards is like riding a bicycle, ya never forget. LOL I'm making cards for swaps, but they aren't really to my satisfaction. Every once in a while one that I really like gets through.
Christmas is coming up quite quickly and while I try to ignore it, it just won't let me. Haven't even started my cards and I'm in two Christmas card clubs.
Baby Z is adorable. Checked him out on your blog. Give him a hug for me.

Love the floral card, Robin! I haven't had time to blog more than quickie SU sale notifications lately. I have been busy gettting ready for my two upcoming craft fairs. I have been posting some pics of my craft fair projects on Instagram. I'm sarahbeth46 on there as well if you want to follow. Maybe I'll get around to posting some of those pics on my blog this weekend.
I like that this is a small group. I'd like to join, please!
Oh, and I posted a card on my blog earlier today.
Welcome to our group. I just checked out your card for your granddaughter and left a bit of love. Very pretty card. Later I will go see the "Monkey" card Sarah spoke about, didn't have time when I was there earlier. Have to get my computer work done then head out to get a turkey.
I will put your blog on my sidebar with the other "Chicks".

Thank you for the "welcome," the compliment on my DGD's card, and thank you for adding me to your sidebar!
Hey all.... I had a horrible summer and then fall was very busy. Didn't even realize how long it had been since I blogged. My uncle was diagnosed with cancer in May and he died in August. It hit me really hard... made me reevaluate my life.
The good that came of it is that I joined an excellent study group at my church & strengthened my faith, as well as the fact that I got the courage to run for public office. I ran for & won a seat on our local school board. The campaign process and the study really rejuvenated me. Of course, post election, life was really busy. So I just started blogging again last week.
If you would give me another chance to be part of your group I'd love to join.

Glad you found us again Tania. We are few and I hope some of the others will come back this year. I was going to close it down the last of December, but decided to keep it up. It gives us a place to come to when we just want to reach out and say "Hi".

Hi everyone! It's Jenn. I was browsing the blogging forum and happy to see that this group is still going. Thanks for keeping it rolling Joyce!! I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm slowly getting back into creating. January was a really good month for me but, February was not. It's hard to find the right momentum. Anyways, I've been doing some creating this weekend and blogging. I'm going to pop by and visit everyone that has posted in this thread so far. I have really missed you all sooo much. hugs.
Hi Jennipher, so nice to see you back here. I see you on FB ever so often and check out your blog once in a while. I never comment tho. Dell turned this over to me and I was going to close it in December if there wasn't a good response, but the way things were going for me, I just didn't get around to it. I am glad I didn't close it. Even tho there isn't much activity, at least its a place where we can come and touch bases with old friends.
Glad your here.
