Default CHA 2015

Anyone know what the top picks for new products coming out of CHA this year? I usually follow along someone that posts links to their blog here but I haven't seen much at all. Really nothing on SplitCoastStampers about CHA. This really surprises me.

Nicole Hyman of Paperclippers.com has done some nice short videos on CHA 2015 that I found on YouTube last night — as usual, Tim Holtz and Ranger has some great things coming out, including gorgeous new Distress colors and some cool dies and punches. I haven't had much time to check some of the others but there was a great stencil demo on a product that includes the solid background and the outline for two-tone stenciling, but I'm forgetting who it was made by...Jamie somebody!

Here were the Hot Product nominees from CHA.

You can search #chashow or #cha2015 and find lots of pictures and posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram...

My time on the floor was cut short so I didn't get all the pictures or hugs or demos that I wanted, but my pictures are HERE.

Maybe others will come and share their pictures here!

That Tim Holtz is a trouble maker. I am not buying his new colors. I don't care they have tempting pretty names.

DeeAnn, his dies are what have me in trouble. Some really neat ones this time.

Dini- Those dies are a major love. I want the butterflies, hearts & feathers. Tim made my day releasing all these gorgeous nature lines. I want those little creepy doll embellishments he's releasing.

I definitely want Cracked Pistachio distress color. That is one of my favorite shades of green. Can we get that one now or is it a pre-order?

I thought CHA was absolutely gorgeous this year. Least what I saw on my computer monitor.

I'm curious about the white pen, as I've yet to add one to my stash. Do you recall who makes this new one?

Er.Mah.Gerd! Have you seen this new machine that will foil everything on the face of the planet?!?! Okay maybe not quite, but it will foil anything that has been printed with a laser printer, or photocopied (apparently the foil sticks to the toner).

Taheerah managed to get her hands on one and did a review. I'm so jealous!!!

I saw Heidi's machine on a CHA video. Then Julie Ebersole reviewed the top 10 items they liked from CHA and Julie said they say a number of foiling machines and they really like this one (it's one of the items she reviewed in this video, not Heidi's machine, tho):

Ooh, thanks for sharing that one! There were a couple of other items I liked in there... the Just Add Watercolor sheets, I think that's awesome for newbies. I feel like using those would help me build my skills towards watercoloring without them. Also, I liked the Kirarina Wink white pen. I wonder if that's the one fionna51 mentioned earlier?

I wish a lot of companies would come up with some ideas for us "Ink Jet Users". I know there are a lot of us out there who have Ink Jet Printers and love theirs as I do mine. I'm going to go and dust off my old laminating machine that I bought a long time ago when I made convention pins and dust off the old foil rolls that I have and play and see what I can do...maybe even get some glossy cs and print on my Ink Jet printer and then put foil on it and then run it through my laminating machine. Today's weather is cloudy and dreary day so it's time to play.
Then again, I have that special white embossing sticky powder that will adhere foil and beads and all that. Now to find all my foil...lol And also the PPA to use too.

I just watched this video and if the foil is a heat transfer foil, you don't even need a laminating machine - an iron will do - WOOHOO (this part is at the very end of this video)!!!

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/OELv3Hf7YUw?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I do think that at some point I am going to have to break down and need to get a laser printer, though cuz other techniques (esp. transferring images) are dependent upon that toner....

I really like the Thermoweb iCraft foil stuff. I've been dying for foil work so that's right up my alley.

Plus I like the Sizzix new inksheet platform. I guess I have to consider getting a Big Shot unless it will work with my Cuttlebug (I hope so!).

I bought a few dies this weekend & I noticed the newer designs the Cuttlebug is not the best for them. I love my Bug. That was a bit sad to notice this but I guess it's just new updated designs for dies and their techniques. I took my Big Shot out of my DH's studio and back in mine. He knows where it is.

Queen of Inkland- I am wanting a laser printer too.

I noticed this year's CHA a lot of the new innovations seemed to be based on new laser print technology, Sizzix Big Shot & Grand Calibur.

That's really sad to hear lylacfey. My Cuttlebug is fairly new but it already seems to be the beta videotape in a VHS world. :-(

I just watched a newly posted video from Julie Feifan Balzer and she said irons don't give as clean an image as the hot laminator. She was using an inexpensive(?) laminator from Purple Cow.

Dee Ann, as 'we speak', I am on SCS searching threads for inexpensive laser printer suggestions that can handle heavy cardstock (i.e. Neenah 110# cover)..................I've resisted so long, but the limitations of my inkjet are hindering my creative venues LOL
