Has he been there long? I would organize the album with a focus on his achievements and challenges overcome, bringing in photos of students, teachers and staff as they relate to those (but NOT problem students!). If he's been there a long time, you might want to group achievements in pages and use old yearbooks for photos. I would also include a lot of journaling and inscriptions from teachers, other employees and students. I like the suggestion below of making it like a yearbook, only calling it a "yearsbook."
