Organizing Markers

I just wanted to share how I organized my markers.

I am a self-professed cheapskate, and proud of it. I took a shipping box, cut it down to about 4" deep, and saved up enough toilet paper rolls to fill up the box. Attached them with a glue gun and voila, all of my markers are organized by color.

Except for my few Copics, they are all mixed together: Sharpies, Bics, no-names, etc. Since I use them interchangeably, it doesn't matter to me whether they are water based or alcohol based.

Since the markers are now stored horizontally, I don't have drying out issues any more. Hope someone finds this helpful.

Great economical storage! I did something similar but my box kept caving in...I think it's because I live in a humid climate and anything that isn't wood or steel just softens over time.
So I revamped mine storge after searching the internet for more permanent, but cost-saving storage and came up with this. Two wood boxes joined together with rain downspout cut to 5 1/2" filling up the interior of each box. So it mimics my first idea (similar to yours) but is far sturdier now.

What a creative way to store your markers. Love that the materials you used are sturdy and should hold up for many years. Thanks for sharing.

Love it! Isn't free storage the best! I'll have to upload a picture of my ink pad rack made from foam board. Not free but pretty close.
