Spellbinders 3d embossing folders

Has anyone had problems with these folders going through their Grand Calibur? My friend purchases these folders and they would not go through her first Grand Calibur. She received another Grand Calibur and they went through fine at first then we heard a cracked and the Grand Calibur would not work after that.

Wow. I just bought a GC myself. I've not used any 3D folders in it. (I'll be extremely cautious if I do).

Did she use the recommended plates? I actually just got the raspberry plate for embossing. I believe that you have to use the raspberry adapter plate with it or it won't work. Did you all use the raspberry plate?

Thanks, Denverkat276. My friend called Spellbinders and they are sending her a new GC. She mentioned she was scared to use them and the customer service rep said to go ahead. If anything happens they will send her another one.

Welcome...hope someone can hell you. Did you check the sandwich listed on the embossing folder package?

I'm glad that it is going to work out for her. I have to say that I really like spellbinders so far. Their dies are really nice and the customer service appears to be really on it.
