Default snap top plastic envelopes used for SU Framelits

Hi!
Does anyone know a source for ordering the heavy weight plastic storage envelopes with the snap flap top, like SU uses for their Framelits?

I am using the small supply that I have to repackage small sets of clear stamps that are in those nasty cello bags with the strip of tape on the flap. The heavier weight of the framelit envelopes stay upright in my stamp drawer and the top flap closure is easy to open and pull out the sheet of stamps. I have used the new SU clear cases for larger sets of unmounted stamps, but they are just too large for the small PTI sets and others that I seem to acquire with great regularity.
Thanks for any suggestions of where to start my search.

Try Close To My Heart for ones with snaps. Avery Elle has storage pockets with a flap to tuck in but no snap. I have not purchase either.

Thanks for the idea, Arlene. I will look at both sources you cite. I have ordered from Close TO My Heart in the past, and now remember that they sell their stamp sets in similar, though larger, snap top envys. I will check out Avery Elle with a Google search. I have not seen the style you mention with a flap that tucks. That might work just as nicely as the snap top; both would be an improvement over the tape strip closure.

I see that you are a fellow snorkeler. . Just thinking about slipping on my flippers and swishing my mask out with sandy seawater makes me smile. Ah, the excitement of discovering new fishes and eels and such - delightful!

I have some snap envelopes from my framelits that I would like to "get rid of".

I have found that they take up too much room in my die storage box...so out they go!

But Sizzix makes the envelopes and sells them in 3 packs. They're only different from the SU ones in that they have a scallop flap and they open on the long side instead of the short side. I think they were about 1/8 inch different in size in one direction too, but that's kind of negligible.

Let me know if you are interested in my envelopes. I probably have about 8 of them, but I'll be getting more!

Have you been to Bonaire??? Have we had this conversation before??? Where do you like to go snorkeling? I'm looking for more places in the Caribbean to go. The fish are brighter in the Caribbean than in Hawaii.

No, I've not been to Bonaire. In fact, I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't know of its existence before I saw your tag line! I am a Hawaii snorkeler and can't imagine the fish being brighter ....it makes my heart go pitty-pat just to think about it! We will check it out now, though.

I just noticed that I didn't put any link in my post
And I noticed that now they have the envelopes with openings on either top or side.

Always happy to enable so I'm not the only big spender out here in Stamp Land! I follow Jennifer McQuire's blog...talk about enabling!...and she's the one that uses the Avery Elle storage envelopes (see pix on her blog).

The water is crystal clear and amazing! Bonaire has had a marine park around the island for more than 25 years so the coral is in pretty good shape, it's not crowded, you don't have to worry about watching for boats and jet skis, and all along one side there are at least 25 well-marked walk in dive sites so it's very easy to snorkel. There seem to be more types of fish and, yes, brighter fish than Hawaii. We've stayed at Happy Holiday Homes twice (fully furnished kitchen, outdoor hose and hooks to clean and hang your gear, very clean, inexpensive). We usually go to two sites in the morning, eat lunch and take a nap during high sun, then go out in the afternoon to two more sites. Also it's fun to go night snorkeling with a guide named Renee. WOW, do I want to go back NOW!

I purchased some of these "seed packet envelopes" and they are not as wide as the Stampin' Up's framelits envelopes, but they are just as sturdy and work great! The ones I bought do not have the scallop-edged flap.

Just thought I would let you know that if you purchase these, framelits as large as the Floral Framelits by Stampin' Up will not fit in the envelopes sold by Sizzix. (Actually the largest Floral Framelit barely fits in the Stampin' Up envelope!)

I love the CTMH plastic envelope stamp cases - they are a great alternative!

Default Su framelits storage envelope

I have so many su plastic storage envelopes that the framelits come in. Does anyone have some ideas on what to do with them? Hate to throw them away seems like there has to be something you can use these for.

I have a few more to pass on to someone too...Susy (boss) kindly took some off my hands earlier, but I keep buying!

There's folks out there who are looking for more of those framelits envies. You might try a listing in the "for sale or trade" section of the forum. Or someone will see this thread back up and contact you to get them...

I use both the Sizzix and the CTMH. I really like both brands. If anyone else has any envelopes that they want to get rid of, please PM me. Thanks!

Jamiemn-
The envelopes are on page 137-bottom left side in the current catalogue. They are 'Paper/Stamp Organizers'. There are 2 sizes - 6 x 6 (Z335) and 12 x 12 (Z334).
