Hello everyone! Hope you all are ready to get crafty with me today. I am really excited to see what everyone makes with this weeks challenge.
This week's challenge is: Stencil Stamping
Stencil stamping is a technique where you lay down your stencil (remember don't move it) and stamp to fill in the background. You want to fill in the entire background in order to make the stencil stand out when you are finished. I used a butterfly and then sponged in between where I couldn't overlap.
This looks like a lot of fun, Jenn - sort of taking reverse masking up a couple of notches.
I'll take a quick peek at my stencils before work, and hopefully will be able to find some time this afternoon for stamping along with doing the housework.
Oh this looks like a ton of fun! I am excited to play with this new technique in the morning! I'll have to break out the cricut to make a stencil for this one! Thanks for the inspiration! Can't wait to play!
The only stencil I had is my ex-husband's drafting stencils he had when he was in college. Evidently he didn't want them and I held on to them for no reason. LOL Anyone out there who can understand that? ha ha --- Great challenges, since both used stencils I made one card for both!

Here's mine.
And I'm glad to say I like this a whole lot better than when I stamped text through a stencil for one of the DTGD challenges!!
Not sure I did this right but i like the effect. It was quite a challenge though to put this together for some reason. I use a Prickley Pear flower stamp for the design on the stencil . Here's my card I'm kind of a new player to SCS. I have very occasionally played in these weekly challenges. I want to do more of it but have a pretty filled up month coming up. I will do what i can.
