We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
This week, and every week in the future we will be posting both a 12 X 12 AND a 8-1/2 X 11 double page layout.
We had to cheat just a bit this week...;) Cindy and I both lifted a layout off the internet...Life has been crazy busy and with Cindy and her new FT Job and me with Emmaus...WHEW! No time to plan this week. But next week will be much more normal...(stop giggling, it could be normal someday! LOL)We are sure you will simply love the sketches we chose!
You do not have to fill ALL empty spaces with photos, you can stamp, embellish or use your imagination and fill in the blanks! Just make sure you USE THE SKETCH we provide!! You must follow our sketches to be eligible to win the prize this week. If a double page layout is too much for you to do, we will still judge one page layouts that follow the sketch (just delete one page) If you have any questions post them in here and someone will help you. Also, feel free to PM one of us if you need to...I get a chance to check my messages more than Cindy but I am sure she will answer you as soon as she can...Thanks!
Please click the following LINKS to view the Sketches
Scan or take a photo or your work, upload with SBSC38 in the keywords, and post it here for us all to see. Please be sure to type SBSC38 with NO SPACES. Be sure you use these keywords AND in your title so we can search for judging!
Tip: If you like you can type what your journaling says in the notes section of your upload in your galley. Be sure to JOURNAL somewhere on your page this is important when we judge!! PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO WIN PRIZES FOR A WHILE...Next week it will just be all about the fun and Hey maybe we can RAK a winner if you still want to see someone chosen...If you have any ideas or suggestions, PLEASE SHARE THEM!
Please remember there are no uploads on Sundays, as the wonderful ladies that approve uploads need a day off too! This means NO UPLOADING to the gallery! Please do not upload assuming that they will just approve it on Monday AM, as they get slammed with Sunday Uploads. Thanks! (((hugs)))
Have a SCRAP-TASTIC, Scrampin Good Day!
Hugs...Tracy & Cindy

Ohhh, I recognize the 8 1/2 by 11 one as a Becky Higgins sketch! She's my favorite sketch artist!
Can't wait to try these BOTH out. I'm done with my two week scrappin "funk"....hittin' it hard this week!!! AND, next week is spring break, so some serious scrappin time for me! woohoo!
Thanks for posting two awesome sketches!

I had some time tonight with DH and DS camping with the Boy Scouts and DD has two friends over. I have been wanting to scrap my DD's wonderful dance class with a dancer from the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes. Can't wait to see what everyone else does as well. Happy scrappin'
Okay I had a little bit of time before watching a movie and this is what I came up with for one of the sketches. The pictures were on my desk waiting to be scrapped since last week or the week before I did Naomi's photos. This is Victoria's photos of that same day.

I LOVE Becky Higgins...She is AWESOME! Have fun ladies...
Hi. I'm new and I saw this challenge and thought "how did she know that this was just the layout that my pictures needed?". I am currently putting the finishing touches and can't wait to upload on Monday to see what everyone thinks. Thanks so much for the inspiration and great sketches!

Proudsham!! We're so glad to have you! Can't wait to see your creation!!!
So, dd gave me a break and went to bed without a fight and I was able to finish my pages. They're pending approval but should be available to view soon. Please excuse the lousy photos, my old camera doesn't do the SU paper justice and dh hasn't taught me how to use the new camera yet.
Let me know what you think (btw the pics are of my dd who is almost 15 mo old, this page will be going in her 2nd yr alphabet themed album under M for Mischief b/c E is already Elmo) Is this all TMI? Anyway, enjoy!
Well, I finished a dps of Tracy's sketch, bumped up to 12x12. I like this sketch a lot! I wanted to use my primitive prints wheel with these pictures, but then liked the monochromatic look of the greens without any patterns, so I settled for a tiny strip of the primitive print. I guess it shows pretty bright in the photo, but it really is all greens.
This is the first time I have done a Scrapbook challenge! I really needed it too because I have been a HUGE slacker in my scrapbooking! Here is my 12x12 entry: Page 1: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Page 2: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I completely agree... I've even gone back to try other challenges! ( I completed two 2-page spreads just this weekend!) Woo hoo!
Thank you all so much for your kind comments and for sharing your awesome pages!
Amanda and proudsham: so glad you are joining us! I feel exactly the same way! My scrappin' was on the back burner because I felt like a lot of my layouts were lookin' the same and I needed a kick in the pants....and these challenges did it!! Aren't they fab?? And your pages are terrific, by the way!! Hope you are planning to join us for the VSBN Warmup Party on Saturday!!
Yipee! I am now an official poster to the scrapbook challenges! I've been addicted...er, I mean participating in the card challenges and just found this part of the site! I've been a scrapbooker way longer than a card maker, so this was totally fun and what an awesome layout! I know I'll use it again! Thanks for taking a peek: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Here is the left side of Cindy's sketch. I got to use some of my new paper that came today and some adorable butterfly brads and pink magic mesh that I got from the wonderful ladies here on SCS scrapbooking!Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Kay, it took me most of the afternoon, but I finally got my two page layout done for Tracy's sketch!! I'm too used to doing girlie pages so this one really WAS a challenge! A few summers ago we went to a local raceway upon my husband's request, so we had pictures with cars etc. So I had to step out of my comfort zone to scrap them. I got to use my new Basic Grey papers though! Hope you like it!!
OMG! You gals are rockin' the challenges! Should I simply quit making up my own sketches? It seems the "lifted" sketches are quite popular!~WAY TO GO SCRAPPERS!~
Get those pages done and prep yourselves for the VSBN WARM-UP PARTY ON SAT!
Don't forget I have a fantabulous challenge just for you gals to participate in! HUGZZZ!

Oh and we still LOVE Tracy AND Cindy originals!!!!! hehehe!
O.K. yesterday Natalie decided to be a lap baby, and with all my upload difficulties I didn't find time to do the other sketch...and I really want to. Here is my version of the 12x12 with the pages "flopped" (left on the right, and right on the left), the title worked better this way for me. Still pending approval.
The girls are watching cartoons, so I'm gonna sort through some more photos and see what else I can finish before the deadline
I'm right behind you Sally to squeak in under the deadline! I am determined to scrap these photos from last summer before we go "home" to New England again this summer and I have tons more to do;)
I'm not sure how long these took to finally appear, they were there once then gone, etc. But I loved the sketches this week, actually I have loved everyone of them because they got me some pages done!! These are from our last trip to Hawaii, they are the pictures above the water while the "snorkeling" pictures were below the water.
