Can you believe this is our 6th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2013 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2014! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2014! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.

Uggghhhh!!!! This year is flying by and I still have a way to go on my goal ~ not to mention I don't even have a large one...frustrating! It's been a pleasantly busy year but still I miss my creative time :-(. I hope to get 5 pages done this month to stay on track. Everyone goes back to school this month here in FL so hopefully by the end of the month I'll find some free time.
I'm back again this month. If I start on the first day maybe I can keep up with the love a little better.
I finished July with 23 for the month which makes for 143 so far this year. That leaves 57 more to go which averages out to about 11 a month.
If you want a bunch of awesome, coordinated Digiscrap freebies--google "Digiscrap Parade." Many are on Facebook sites, but if you don't have Facebook, you can still pick up some of the freebies on their blogs.
Hey Lou Ann...I thought perhaps Lela had hung out with you since I remember you saying you usually go. I never know when I'll have a free weekend and it just so happened the weekend of CKC was one of the unexpected ones I was granted with. I don't buy anything anymore (since I still have tons of stash) but I love getting out of the house.
Lela...you will have to let me know when you plan to return and I can help you plan some outings in the area. Glad to hear you had a good experience while visiting.

The BEST though for me was enjoying a photo walk of the downtown. It was so pretty and lots to see. I will definitely let you know when I'm coming back.

I did 16 layouts in July bringing my YTD to 69. Now that my 2008 family scrapbook is done, I can finish up my wedding album and start working on another year. :cool:
I will strive for 14 pages this month (in order to meet my ytd goal). keeping my fingers crossed all goes well this month!

ok, I sent an email to my GF to ask for the info. They usually book for me and tell me where to show up, LOL. It's all good though, I figure PA in late Oct should be beautiful color or will I miss it? Either way, it's not that far from me and I can get over and see family so it's a good ... esp if we get to hang out too!

Had friends in town so we had a leisurely breakfast at a great local spot ;) Always fun to dawdle and chat over coffee. Beautiful afternoon here so a walk in the park on the way home. Now house stuff before the week starts and then *hopefully* some scrap time this evening ...

Oh, my goodness, you all started without me!! LOL I have been busy with DTGD and forgot about scrapping! I got 20 pages done last month. Yay! So, I have hit my yearly goal and passed by one page. This month will be busy. I am not going to set a goal for this month, but I will scrap.
No scrapping for me today ~ bills instead...yuk! ;-) However, I am taking pictures because they have started ripping out my kitchen and will soon be taking apart my master bath for the new updated version to be complete by next month...so yipppeeee!!! We also will be camping starting on Wed for a long weekend then dd2 heads back to school next Monday ~ lots of photo ops ;-).
Task 1 of the August Progressive Digiscrap Challenge has been posted. All scrappers are invited to play! I so enjoy the creativity our non-digi scrappers display when playing!
Stopping by, browsed the above posts and excited about VSBN....hoping I can participate!! I really wanted to complete at least 144 pages this year so I adjusted my monthly goal....I have TONS to scrap, I just don't seem to have TIME to scrap! But maybe if I raise my goal I'll increase what I do accomplish...? haha...SO! my signature is updated and I really AM hoping to get to play!

We came down early & got there on Wednesday so we went to our favorite shop in Paradise, Farmhouse Memories. Thursday we saw Moses at Sight & Sounds...how awesome!! Between Saturday & Sunday I took 9 classes. I did get some shopping in & I'm like you don't really need to buy more but I did! Sunday we stayed in our room & finished all our projects then left for home Monday.
Checking in...been busy this week (as usual)... my youngest had her wisdom teeth removed yesterday and my oldest just finished her dental work (before she heads back to school). Now were gearing up for school...getting ready for the Senior year rush! We have a consult next week for Senior Pictures, then back to school shopping...then dorm room move in...never a dull moment!
I saw the post for the VSBN...haven't participated in one before, but I am curious, AND I'm just about done with my Wedding Album...have about 6-8 pages left to do! Then on to the honeymoon! Since it's a passports & tickets (vacation) themed...maybe I'll be able to start that album?? Hmmm...have to see how the rest of this week goes....:rolleyes:

I exceeded my goal last month and will set his month's goal to 8. I still have a long way to go to reach my yearly, but I have a couple of all day crops coming up and a scrapbook retreat so I'm still hopeful!!

SO.... Good Morning to all my friends here. I want you all to know how truly grateful I am for all of you and the impact that you have made in my life. I know that I have been hit and miss here a lot over this past couple of years and I truly do apologize. I have really missed being here on a daily bases and I truly feel a huge void when I am MIA. AND I would like a chance to explain now that the decision has been made, not that I am not grateful for your much needed comments and support, but I needed to make this decision totally and completely on my own, (first time in my life DH even kept silent on the matter).
Here it is..... After 12 wonderful very successful years I has decided to take a leave of absence from being a Stampin' Up! Demo. Now don't get me wrong, I am still totally and completely in love with their products, I recommend with out even a second thought, but that it the thing... I have so much product that I will never use it up before I die and my boys are all grown and my Daughter-in-laws love the new digi way of life and so do a lot of my customer base. I am a die-hard paper women that has recently found herself in a new position in life called Grandma with unlimited Flight advantages. And my stamping business has been a sort of struggle here at the beach. So with a heavy but relief filled heart I have chosen to put my extra monies where my heart is and spend time traveling with my family. My DH is on the road a lot with his job and with his MS he sometimes need an assistant and I have been given the opportunity to travel and be of support to him.
So I just wanted all of you to know that there has been a lot on my mind and when I spent time here it clouded my judgement into the eternal needs and desires of my heart. My family means the world to me and so that part of the decision was easy, the really hard part was giving up the idea that I can't do it all! (I really am not SUPERWOMEN!)
Now comes the easy part... I am so glad to be back without all the strings attached and with the freedom to just set back and scrap my heart out with all of you. So if you will all forgive me for my hit and miss actions over this past couple of years, I would love to just hang out, stamp, scrap and maybe even host a few challenges as I start to share with all of you a part of my life that I know will be memories in the making.
Anavon, I am totally with you. I recently let my CTMH consultantship lapse due to increased family responsibilities, and I am totally at peace about it. I'm sure I'll pick it up somewhere down the line, but for now, I have so much product, I could scrap for years without purchasing another thing!
Anavon and Cheryl, I'm glad to hear you were able to make the decisions you did and have a lighter heart. It's always difficult to make changes in our lives, especially when it involves our creativity. But you both seem to have chosen family first and I know scrapping will continue to have a place in your lives.
I've been making some changes myself and have been a bit MIA. My health has been less than stellar for the last few years (some of you know I was diagnosed with MS in early 2010) and digiscrapping was a hobby that hasn't required as much energy but still kept me feeling productive and creative. Although I haven't been completely physically inactive, my energy stores were limited and I have had to take it slow and easy. I'm feeling some improvement in my health, so now I've wanted to do more active things and tone down my hours at the computer. I do miss being more involved in the SCS community and all of you, but it has been good to be more physically active.
So, I do plan to continue spending time here, but after reading Anavon and Cheryl's posts, I thought it was a fitting time to explain my sporadic participation lately too!
I am just glad to be part of scrapping with all of you, Wendy, Cheryl and Anavon. And Cori, Ann, Sharon, Lela, Terry, LouAnn, Tanya, and Mary Pat! And I am sure I missed someone! I know , when Mom was ill and passed, I wasn't here much for a year. And, now I won't be around much, except to chat now and then, on my Mini iPad. My new computer is having to be shipped off as it is still under warranty. Don't know how long they will have it, but won't be able to upload unless I figure it out. Am taking it in tomorrow. I kept it for DTGD. Uploaded 49 cards for 49 challenges! I am a DTGD Queen! So, I was going to try the VSBN challenges, but guess not.
Anyway thanks for letting me be in this thread sporadicly. Love you all.
What is so neat here is how much all of us have been together for! We have watched each other's kids grow up in scrap pages. We have shared so much fun and laughter and tough times together. We have all had moments where life got crazy and we had to come here less frequently but what is so wonderful is to be able to always come back and find friends who have missed you and a big welcome. It is amazing to share Life Moments with all of you.

Good morning all.... (Being gratefully said through tear filled eyes)
I am so excited to be back hanging out with out all the money making pressures. I think that this is going to be my fresh start point and only look forward with my goals. I have completed 75 pages so far this year, which is above my yearly target. So I am going to reset my goal for another 25.

I can well understand the feeling of freedom to create in whatever manor you choose on any particular day and not feel obligated to do anything, be somewhere, make something if your heart is just not in it!! Having the freedom to spend more time with family, create in my scrap room scrapping instead of stamping is wonderful. I have been retired from my full time job for 5 years now and every day still feels like a vacation!! 18 months ago I totally quit my side job that included partial ownership, then being employed at an online stamp company. When something you love doing becomes a job then, for me, it was time to step back and return to what I want to accomplish. Now I think I am busier than ever....... still doing the things I love but in my own time and at my own pace. I no longer keep up my blog and haven't for over a year. All my kids and most of my grand kids live fairly close as does my mother, that is enough to keep me busy every day!! Being able to concentrate on scrapping makes my heart happy!!
Knowing you are here even when I'm not is a great blessing to me. I enjoy seeing your pages and watching how all the kids grow. Some of those layouts are nostalgic for me. When viewing I remember when my kids did the same things, scouting in particular. Just knowing there are ladies out there that share my same pleasures brings me back year after year, even if I'm MIA for months at a time.
