By request, occasionally I will be reposting one of the earlier TLCs! Some of you have been with me since the beginning, but a lot of folks have joined the challenges more recently. If you did create one for the original challenge, please post a link to it at the same time you post your newest creation.
Here is what I posted for TLC03:
This week's challenge is Acetate and Tissue! Check out Beate's tutorial on the resources page and then give it a go! //www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/acetate.php
Please put TLC58 in the Keywords section. And please come back to this thread and post a link to your creation.
A couple things I learned while playing around with this technique this weekend:
Disposable gloves are a big help! Crystal Effects dries pretty quickly on your skin and it *sticks* LOL
Less reinker is better than more reinker!
Be careful when choosing your colors...they do blend together which can be pretty wonderful or pretty muddy!
Have fun! Can't wait to see your lovely work!
Here's two of my attempts at this fun technique....
Like Heather, I have previously only stalked and decided recently to start jumping in. I can't wait to try this -- have found Beate's tutorial very interesting but have never tried.
So, I need to get mine started so it has time to dry. Acetate doesn't like the heat tool very much............
Looks like I'm gonna have to run to Walmart this morning...I don't have any tissue paper...will just any kind/color do, or should I buy just plain white tissue? I will get to this later today. Thanks for the challenge Beth, they are always inspiring for me. And I'm glad you're doing an old one; I didn't start these until a couple of months ago. Hope everyone has a great day!

From reading the tutorial it looks like plain white is best.

Holy Cow Jeanne has one posted already!!! I couldn't help myself with that one!
Roxie, it's ok..that looks like one she did before..hehe..don't think she is *quite that fast*, as it does take time for the reinkers to dry on the acetate..heheh!

Awwww, I can't play! I don't have any reinkers. I placed an order yesterday which includes some though. Oh well. Have fun and I will admire all your cards!
I tried this when Beate posted her tutorial, my results were really awful! Don't know what I did wrong, but it just looked like a big mess, may have to give it a try again!

If you use transparencies made for laser, you can even emboss on it.
Great challenge, Beth. I'm glad you're bringing back some older ones. I've only been active on SCS since late last year, so there are a ton of challenges that I haven't done. I try to do some of the older ones, but without the extra push, it's not so easy to make myself try them.
Woohoo - I'm here! Can hardly wait to do this, have never tried it, even though, I love the results when I see them. Will be playing today! Thanks Beth, for putting this one in again.

I am the same way! That's exactly why we are going to repeat some of them occasionally!

Thanks for going Retro on us, Beth. I am a more recent challenge junkie. Although I thought about going back and doing the "old" challenges, I never did.
Mine is still in the drying stage. I seem to have lost the image a bit. Yes I stamped with stazon on the reverse side of where I did the gooey part. But now I can't see the image very well. Hope it shows up better when it's dry. I'll put it up as soon as I can.
