TLC480 ~ Stamp the Sentiment Over the Image - Revisited ~ (5/5/14)
Hello everyone!!! It's my turn to host this weeks TLC challenge and since my birthday is tomorrow, I decided to revisit one of my very favorite challenges...TLC336 - Stamp the Sentiment over the Image!! However, I am going to change it up just a little....this time you can use a diecut sentiment if you want.
Here are a few other variations:
1. You can stamp the sentiment on vellum and than place it over a stamped image.
2. The sentiment can be stamped over a background that has been stamped with a background stamp.
3. You can stamp the sentiment over several stamped images in a collage effect.
4. Stamp the sentiment over a flower stem.
5. Stamp the sentiment over a color blocked background
6. Have fun!!!
Great challenge Joan! Have a happy happy birthday!!!!

Joan- great challenge, thanks! I experimented a bit before I stamped my sentiment successfully on these flowers in a bottle- from my SCS friend Diane- and added a lilac from from my stamping friend Mary Ellen. Finished with some washi tape and a diagonally striped background. Here's Flowers For You

Such a fun technique and one that I often forget about! Here're two that I made in combo with the CAS challenge to CASE card's from ArizonaMaine's great gallery. Angela's Angle Graduation in Pink and Lavender
Needed to try this technique again. Here's my second card for this challenge.

I had ZERO time yesterday to do anything, so I made my card before work this morning, but didn't have time to upload it until right now: Birthday Party in the Pool
Great challenge. I have a question about the Monday TLC. I get the newsletter on Wednesday (the 7th this week), but I see that most of the cards submitted come on the 5th (which was actually Monday). How do people get the challenges ahead of time. I thought that the Monday challenge would be for the following week before the next newsletter came on on Wednesday. What am I missing?
Oops! I see what happened. Chalk it off to a Senior Moment.
Actually, I didn't goof, so my origin question still remains.

Reason: I goofed on the date!
I normally don't stamp a sentiment over an image. And even here, I used a watercolor stamp. I really like the overall look and plan to do this technique again. Thanks for the challenge!
Here's mine: Restful (I think landscapes always are). I hope it counts that I stamped the sentiment over a MASKED image rather than a stamped image! Enjoy!
