It's officially spring!!!! In Chicagoland, we actually got something springlike for weather, but unfortunately it didn't last. Spring means spring cleaning and new beginnings. So I am challenging you to use something new you have not used before. The twist is - the item must be at least one month old, if possible.
Unfortunately, I got an awful April fools joke and ended up with the flu and couldn't play with my toys, but Toni, Sabrina, and Cathy have made fabulous samples for you with some old new toys.
Be sure to include WT473 in your keyword and be sure to tell us what's new to you in your post, so we can see all of your New Old Toys.
Update: I was FINALLY able to get the energy to play along, so now you have my sample too!

WT473 Masculine Birthday
Here's mine. I got Banner Blast 5 weeks ago tomorrow (I remember picking it up on the way into work the last time we made a trip down to the southwest), and the embossing folder was part of a Christmas gift - thanks, Di.
Take good care of yourself Michelle, hope you feel better soon. Flu is not fun. We had sunny Spring on April 1st but it's back to grey skies and rain again.
Fun Challenge! Thank You! The Hardwood Background stamp is my new toy. Sorry I just couldn't wait a month to use it. I tend to rip things out of my box and start playing.
Michelle- great challenge! I just reorganized my dies with my new totes from Stamp-n-Storage (came yesterday)- and so rediscovered my bird dies, and my tulip frame embossing folder. Added some quilting fabric for the birds' "nests". Finished with a handwritten sentiment mounted on a scalloped frame. Here's Easter Birds

Yay for a day off AND energy to make a couple of extra cards!
I had fun with this - and will piece together another 3 for my April quota of Christmas cards. Thanks for a challenge which helped me figure out how to finish my card off, Michelle.
Here's my card for the "new beginnings" challenge. I used a leaf sprig die that I bought back in January and never even tested to see if it cut. I also used a speckle stamp that is ANCIENT (date on stamp cube is 1998!) and had never seen ink.
It's one of those days....I accidentally hit the transmit button before I was done with my upload and then went back in and did an edit. And the edit didn't work. Monday on a Thursday, I guess!
Can't wait to see the gallery, I know it will be fun!
Stamping instead of packing....spring break week with my kids coming up and we'll visit my niece who just had a bday. Put a couple of virgin stamps to use! Paris Birthday
Thanks so much, Michelle, for giving me the kick start to use something new that is over 1 month old. I have a habit of buying and storing :-( Here is my card:
This challenge has really opened my eyes to all the wonderful possibilities I have with my current supplies. It was FUN to "shop" in my own stamp room!
I've had the Four Frames set for a long, long time, but had never used this particular stamp. Likewise, the sentiment came from "Best Yet," a hostess set from long ago. Again, I'd never used this stamp. I wasn't sure they would fit together, but with the help of my trusty Stamp-A-Ma Jig, I was able to make it work. Actually, now I think they look like they were made for each other.
Then I got to thinking about other new stuff I could do, and for the first time, I made my own DS paper, and also tried the "latch card" idea that's been circulating on the Internet. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the card.

Today (Sat.) I'm adding another card to the WT gallery. I have had the found peacock feather for 1-1/2 yrs and this challenge, along with today's IC challenge inspiration, inspired me to use it. Thanks, Wendy!
