I had a request from a SCS member for instructions for making a mailable card embellishment that looked like a tasty piece of bacon. I can't even tell you how much that appealed to my sense of humor, in addition to my love for creating, and for a good challenge.
That is amazing! My sons are the biggest bacon fans in the world! Now I have to go buy some alcohol markers.
Thank you, I am just stunned at your talent!
This is adorable, and so realistic! I would love to see what sentiments people could come up with to go on a card that has bacon on it. "Thanks for bacon my day," or "you're always bacon me smile," come to mind. LOL.
I never would have thought to ask about a tutorial, let alone come up with such a great technique! I do not have any alcohol markers. Would it work at all w/ the SU markers? I often color my ribbon with them.
By the way, using the fork to hold your bacon was a fun touch, too!

Great tutorial!!! Thanks Dini!!!!
I don't recall the details but there is a stamp somewhere that says "I love you more than bacon" ... It's probably a clear stamp or I'd most likely have bought it.

This is so darn cute I can't quit smiling! Thank you for making and sharing this tutorial.
Can't wait to try my hand at making ribbon bacon - yum. I have no idea who I will make this for, but by golly someone is going to be plenty surprised when they receive it. Ha..
Thanks again for the fun idea, the great instructive video and the smiles!
You might try non-alcohol markers but the colours wouldn't blend the same so it wouldn't look as realistic. Try it and let us know. It's only a few inches of ribbon after all!
