CC465 SummerSky & SmokyCalypso on the Pacific (2-11-14)
Happy Tuesday and welcome to this week's color challenge. It's #465 on the charts for us. I am your hostess this week and decided to repeat something that I did back in November as your hostess.
First, we have our color challenge favorite from last week. Sallie, as the hostess, was to pick her favorite. She said she has trouble picking "favorites" let alone "a favorite". She selected Pam Stang's (aka bailmac) card "Grow.Learn"
Sallie said:"She had a well-balanced use of the colors and created a phenomenal background panel using those colors and a variety of stamps.it looked like a rich tapestry. A beautifully stamped, embossed and designed card".
Congrats Pam. The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below and your card will also be pinned on our Pinterest color challenge board. Check it out here.
Now onto this week's challenge. I am choosing 5 colors and you can pick 3 to work with or use all 5 of them.Just let us know your choice.
Are you ready for a summersky & smokycalypso on the pacific?
the colors for cc465
summer starfruit
soft sky
smoky slate
calypso coral
pacific point
Neutrals: whisper white or smoky slate
Dessert: will be to make a nautical card. We always need masculine cards so this is a good opportunity to make one.
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC464 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here.
Good morning, ladies! Sallie, thanks so much for choosing my Grow. Learn creation as your favorite! It has made my day!!!! Can't wait to make a nautically themed creation with the colors for today. I have a stamp set that hasn't seen ink yet.

I love choices! Thanks, Mary! I used the starfruit, gray, sky & pacific on my card. We keep losing power here due to the snow & ice, but hopefully we'll have it and I'll be back to comment. Here's my Birthday Honeycomb . Thanks so much for looking!

Thanks for this challenge, Mary. It's so true that we all need to make more masculine cards (they are definitely in the minority in MY stash!). Here's my card Nautical Birthday.
Great color combo Mary. I was surprised at how easily I was able to use 4 of your colors. No dessert this time though. Whew...now caught up with your awesome color challenges. Thanks for hosting this week. Hugs...
