Remember to always check the receipt (which I know I am guilty of just signing and going without double checking!).
I work at Walmart and cashiered for quite some time and there's NO WAY a cashier can force cash back on a credit (or debit) card transaction! The customer HAS to initiate it on their end using a PIN!

I was wondering about that too. I don't use debit but credit. I needed cash back on a transaction one time. I didn't use debit so I couldn't get cash back. The transaction automatically cancelled and I had to run it through again. I am sure the cashier just loved me, lol. I was at the self-checkout when this happened. I needed her help because I was so confused. I don't know how the cashier's could get money from a credit card because you can't get cash back if you use credit.

This stupid rumor was going around on Facebook a while back, too. I wish people would check things out before spreading rumors. Since I work for Walmart I'm pretty defensive when people bash Walmart. I did cashier and do know a cashier cannot "force" a cash back.

Well, if you have vampires as guests, they might appreciate your thoughtfulness. HeHe

Boy, I wish our walmart.ca had this kind of stuff! I checked it out in high hopes after reading this post but there are only a few piddly little things I don't need... And yes, I've checked to see if I can order through the US walmart site- I can't. Darn!

Default Walmart.com You can buy from Canada

I live in Canada near Washington border and have purchased craft supplies from Walmart online to pick up in their Bellingham Washington store and had no problem. I did use Paypal for the purchase did not try credit card.
