Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
The tutorial uses fun foam. I've also successfully used a couple of layers of chipboard, although it's more absorbent and you might need to experiment with using paint rather than ink for stamping with.
I thought I might need pigment inks to get good cover for my foam flowers, but in fact distress inks worked perfectly for my sample card.
No dies? Some (not all!) punches will punch through fun foam. And you can always get a simple mosaic or tiled effect by stamping with a square - easy to cut by hand.
2: Revisit your childhood . I made the background of my tag by stamping with a potato. I just cut it in half, traced the star outline with a marker and then trimmed down around it. For this I used acrylic paints to stamp - I didn't want to get potato starch on my good ink pads!!
3: Maybe you have the SU Undefined kit - now's your chance to get it out and create something fun. . There's even a special gallery category for it.
If you're really, really, truly stuck, you can always just stamp with the end of an eraser, but I very much hope that you will try to create your own stamp for this challenge.
Other options - I've seen some amazing cards with roses stamped with celery! Have you any other ideas of something that you could make a cool stamp with - share them with us if you do.
When you've created your card upload it to the gallery and then come back and link it here so we can all see it! You get more views and comments if you link on the thread .
If you're not sure how to link a card to this thread, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
I was meant to be off work today, but I've been called in as two other people are sick.
I'll try to keep an eye on the thread in case anyone has any queries, but email notifications for both forum subscriptions and the gallery are really wonky, and if I'm in work I rely on notifications!

what a great challenge. I am so sorry I didn't get here earlier or I could have made three! The "potato" stamp sure brought back memories. Thanks, Sabrina. I will be back.
I got a really late start tonight (after working a 9-hour day, meeting my son for dinner, then going to the grocery store!) so I went with simple! I cut the words 'Love You' out of craft foam using the Cuttlebug 'Love Languages' die set, stamped in red & mounted on a red/gold dotted paper. TFL!
