You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Almost as much as I love card design, I also love making books and journals. I know that many of you also treasure journaling. Journals give us a place where we can go to record your own thoughts and experiences. I have even found it quite fun to do "photo"-journals. Photo journals don't look anything like photo albums, rather they are closer to the idea of an illustrated journal. (If you want to try this, just buy a journal and paste in small photos. Then fill in your thoughts and feelings about what happened all around them. It's a lot of fun.)
Anyway (back to the challenge-LOL), I found this really cool Etsy store full of 'inspiring" prayer journals. It's by Integrity Graphics. The journals are truly beautiful, as well as practical. I was immediately inspired to order a few, and to make cards that coordinate with the journals. I was even inspired to make a few custom journals for myself using my binding machine!
Please join me this week, and find your own inspiration at Integrity Graphics Personalized Prayer Journals.
Since I don't have a guest hostess this week, I'm uploading two of my own inspiration designs: a card for Saturday upload, and a special mini-book for you will be uploaded on Sunday! My Card
Challenge Goals: Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because a journal on the site reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions as you browse the items in the store. Remember, you may be inspired by colors, sentiments, styles, themes, and even textures! Just let them touch you in any way at all! Be inspired to create something new and uniquely YOU today .
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites … so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Thanks for the wonderful site Audrie! Here's mine .

I love your beautiful card! Just wanted to let you know it wasn't coming up in the gallery because I think the keywords are IC435 instead of IC425. That's why I almost missed it - so glad I checked the forum, it's lovely,
All the cards today are so over the top cool!
Hugs

Audrie- great site, thanks! I was inspired by the Golden Butterfly prayer journal with its lovely yellow hues and nature theme, so I used some flower images, along with a bee, and added a ribbon border with a button/bow combo. Here's Bee Happy ATC

I made two. Love the site, but I had a hard time getting my "getty-up" going today. I will come back and comment tomorrow if we don't lose power from all this snow!
Thanks for looking!
