You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
This week I am welcoming BarbieP as my guest hostess (her gallery is definitely an inspiration in itself). BarbieB has been an inspiring artist on SCS since 2009. This week she has chosen a mixed media artist who works with a variety of mediums to create amazing art and artist books! Since I LOVE book making myself, I was thrilled to browse her site and to be inspired by her. Please join us as we take this weeks challenge inspired by Sharon McCartney at http://www.sharonmccartneyart.com!
Challenge Goals: Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the site reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette, textures, or even just the style of an item that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration should link back to the Sharon McCartneysite
Tip on getting hyperlinks:
Normally, you can just "right click" on an image and select "copy link" from the pop-up commands to grab links for your description area (use control click on a mac).
Use the keyword: IC421 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites … so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

What a fabulous site - thanks, Audrie.
I'd love to have time later, but in the meantime I got up early and made this while DH had a lie-in . IC421 Golden
I just LOVE Sharon McCartney's work! I was inspired by her Constant Faith pieces- (scroll down to the right a few from my link)- and used SU's The Great Outdoors (wheel) for my stamped image. There's some texture added with the corrugated cardboard in the background, and my fabric strip comes from the Star Wars Quilt I made for my DH for Christmas. Finished with many die cuts, accented with adhesive gems and a lilac pearl. Here's Moose Collage

I was inspired to do another card - based on Sharon Mc Cartney's Mixed Media Wall Amulet Sculpture - my rooster comes from October Afternoon's Farm Fresh, and my bright button shapes from my Sizzix dies. added some batik style lime green fabric for zing! Here's Rooster's Morning

I really loved Sharon McCartney's site and chose the Tender Silence Broken Talisman banner for my inspiration for my card . The banner is the third from the left.
