The rest of the story:
1: State Fair!! Yay, it's State Fair time. The fun is all about the biggest, the brightest, the wildest, the fairest, and the mostest. Except in the iris section of the flower entries. For every year Mr. McFarkle that fink of a flower judge always awards the prizes to the all white iris; claiming that only in the absence of color can the true form of the flower be known. UGH!! Miss Evie-Lyn is so sick of his strutting and proclaiming himself to be the best judge of what is beautiful. She is so fed up that she wants to shove a bright and wildly colored flower right in his kisser. He obviously hasn't heard that Iris's were named after the Goddess Iris whom is regarded in Greek mythology as messenger between the land of the gods and the land of the humans, and they claim she traveled back and forth between the two on the rainbows. Why would anything named after her be best in white.
2: This year, Miss Evie-Lyn has a plan of her own and it's gonna shake up some things in the flower section and hopefully even cause ol' Judge McFarkle to lose his color blindness. She is making the rounds of all the gardeners in town and telling them all of her plan. You see, Miss Evie-Lyn loves colors. All kinds of colors in every shade imaginable. She has declared war on ol' Judge McFarkle and is making a pact with every gardener in town to bring only their most colorful blooms to be judged. If there aren't any white iris in sight, McFarkle will have to award the prizes to the real beauties of the show...or pass out in shock. Miss Evie-Lynn isn't sure if that really matters to her or not as long as the colors light up that old gray exhibit hall.
3: Yes, Miss Evie-Lyn is a bit of a wild woman and likes to keep life interesting but she does have a heart of gold and she is tired of all the lovely ladies who raise the most colorful and beautiful flowers going unnoticed because there flowers aren't white. She just can't keep herself from stirring up trouble sometimes though and she's anxiously awaiting the look on ol' McFarkle's face. It should be priceless.
4: As she takes her daily walks she spies on all the flower gardens to see if she can guess what colorful specimen each gardener will choose to take. She can't decide which one color to choose and may take an arrangement of every color in her garden just for pure shock value. (But Ooooh, wouldn't that be pretty) On her way around town she spots one gardener that hasn't gotten on the bandwagon yet and EEK!!
not a color to be seen anywhere in her garden other than green leaves and white flowers. Miss Evie-Lyn is fuming as she stands there and just stares. This calls for desperate measures. Marching off, her mind whirling, she tries to think of how to change this foolish woman over to their side.
5: Yes, a plan is needed. A good plan that can't help but show her what a boring garden she has and how much more cheerful and fun it would be with colors. Soon, she hatches a plan that she thinks will be perfect. She rushes home to call all of the gardeners and arrange a meet up at the alley behind this white **shudder** garden with a colorful specimen in hand. After they see her turn out the lights, they will sneak in the garden and replace each white bloom with a colored one. HEEHEEHEE....Miss Evie-Lyn can't help but giggle and laugh as she dances around waiting till dark to start her plan in motion. But just to be on the safe side, she puts in a call to a group of colorful local ladies known as Teapotters to make sure there is enough color to rid that whiteness.
Color is the name of the game. Pink, purple, yellow, blue, and orange...any colors will do. A colorful array to brighten the day and wash the whiteness away.
