Challenge Title: Fighting In Pink Camo
Hostess: LuvLee (Lee)
Keyword: HYCCT1305
Date: Saturday, October 5th, 2013
****************************
Yes! We can fight cancer and we can WIN! And we can show our strength in PINK CAMO !!!! Pink is not only my favorite color...but the color of October...and a camo version is inspirational to fight, fight, fight!! I'm inspired by so many who I know are currently battling breast cancer as well as other types....and THEY ARE MY HEROES!!! So let's show them that we'll be fighting with them side by side!!!
You can use pink camo ribbon, patterned paper, digital paper....or you can even make your own camo paper!!! I made my own background paper by stamping a solid image repetitively in many shades of pink ink!! It's that simple! You can also use a pink and black re-inker and swirl it on white ribbon or white flowers and make your own pink camo design!!

Such a fun challenge and it was a challenge, lol! I made my camo out of fun foam. The first time I did it the blobs were too big, but I trimmed it down and I think it looks like camo this go round. And, of course, I had to use something sparkly for Lee. ;)

Lee, at first I totally mess up the challenge and did it in blue.. Now I can't find where I can change the category to the 2013 HYCCT. I went up and down the list when I edited my upload and could not find it... HELP... thanks
Never mind, I found it..... WOW that was tough... It is much easier to get it right the first time.....

Lee, why is it still showing both of the blue cards in the HYCCT gallery? You see the pink one when you click on it.... Maybe because I edited it so much this morning....I am so sorry for that.... But I did get it... hugs

It takes a while for the gallery to catch up when it's busy.....but also sometimes it just shows up to you that way because of the cookies on your computer. No worries...it's all good! I'll be commenting away soon!!!
Lee, this was a challenge for me, I'm not that good at stamping backgrounds but I did one with watercolour paper and misted it - thanks for taking me outside my comfort zone! Feather Hope
ok-- I'm going to do my best to participate today. I've only gotten 1 card finished so far so I need a kidless weekend to catch up -- where can I get one of those??? :-D

I tried to be "creative" today. At first I was stumped by the camo challenge. I decided to use Gelatos, but had no idea where I'd go with that. As usual, this card was built up from one idea to the next. When I write papers, I always prepare the outline AFTER I write. Same thing with card design.
I had a BLAST making pink camo! My photo turned out a little dark. I really did use pinks (Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Rose Red (dark pink), Strawberry Slush, and Melon Mambo. I used the splotchy stamp from Gorgeous Grunge (SU) and like how it turned out!
Loving this challenge! However, after 3 ways to not make camo,, I decided to come back later and try again. Thanks for a real challenge, Lee! I needed a push, because finding a way that works will be great for future projects!
