Default Unmounting and image question specific

I've unmounted almost all of my stamps and the clear images have came off the wood blocks fine until the CTMH blocks and I can't get those to budge. Any suggestions?

You have clear/photopolymer stamps that had been mounted on wood blocks???

And CTMH are clear -- you actually adhered your clear stamps to clear blocks?

I'd like to help but I'm sorry, it's kind of hard to understand because it sounds like you've done something unconventional.

I would say HappyGirl has old CTMH stamps. Before they were photopolymer, CTMH had wood mounted stamps just like SU.

I would have assumed they'd be the same as SUs.

Have you tried putting the wood block (recommend you do this after the stamp/rubber has been removed) into the microwave for a few seconds to loosen the glue from the image label?

Thank you - I had no idea that CTMH had wood mounted rubber stamps at one time.

I also didn't realize she meant she's trying to remove the index label.

When I unmounted, I put the mounted rubber stamp/block in the microwave to loosen the glue and remove the stamp if it didn't come off easily. I also think that would work well for the index sticker.

Thanks for the clarification :-).

thanks and yes these are old CTMH stamps which is probably why the image is refusing to budge. I did try a few seconds in microwave and may try a few more - have nothing to lose at this point. Stamp has already been removed.

I've had luck using UnDu to remove the sticker labels from other stamps. I wouldn't use it if you're trying to save the blocks for something, though - sometimes it turns the wood a funky color.

You can also try putting your wood mounted stamps in the freezer. This also works well. Imagine my dh's surprise when he went in the freezer and it was full of stamps!! ;)
