I'm on my parent's computer and don't know how to open multiple windows or I'd link it, but the Mixability Challenge has a thread called "does mixed media have to be messy?" that might help. I think we all have an idea of what mixed media looks like, but it really can be as simple as ink and paint or a metal or fabric piece added on. I'm a big fan and I love the getting messy techniques with Gesso and spatter and all that, but it sure doesn't HAVE to go that direction. Hope you guys have fun with it. I'll be playing catch up tomorrow or on Monday or maybe later tonight if the family managed to keep the house in order while I was away. I'm anticipating having to go home and do some house recovery since they have had Friday night and most of today taken up with a swim meet...that and my 16yo has the mechanical baby home with her and I'm sure that has been eating up her time and energy.
