Challenge Title: Scene of Serenity
Hostess: kittie747 aka Kittie
Keyword: HYCCT1319
Date: Saturday, October 19, 2013
I am so happy to be hosting a challenge for this wonderful event.
Creating scenes has been a passion of mine since I first began paper crafting. My challenge for you today is to create a project with a scene. You can use stamped images, die cut images, free hand sketching or painting. The sky is the limit. You can make your scene extra special if you would add some shade of the color pink but it isn't required. Have fun! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

you know most days I would really LOVE to be one of those people who makes 3-d art scenes but, the reality is I mostly just like to color so, here is a stamped scene from a stamp I "had to have" and have not colored before.
there are some pink flowers in it with a bit of white gel pen in the center foreground.
What a wonderful challenge, Kittie. I'm sure this gallery will be gorgeous. This gave me the excuse to work with a new set that I really loved with an ocean theme. Being at the beach is a very relaxing, serene experience for those of us who leave near either coast. I got my inspiration from Jan Tink and here's my scene:
I didn't go for a 3-D scene but I recreated a wonderful childhood memory...I spent hours sledding as a kid..being out in the crisp, clean, winter air whizzing down a hill is peace for me.
My card entry for HYCCT1319 - Scene of Serenity. Thank you Kittie. I'm so glad I could play today and include a card for a very important cause.
A glow of pink with the Breast Cancer logo as a flame within the lamp casts a scene of serenity and hope that each day holds the possibility of a miracle.
For my scene, I went for more whimsical, but it was fun using my new Taylored Expressions Candy Monster stamp and die set. Added Fluffles the cat, and some embellies- including 2 from SU's Think Pink collection. Here's Candy Monsters

Kitty- got the serenity part this time with my 2nd card unlike my first whimsical one. I just toured the Japanese Gardens in Portland, Oregon- and this card is in honor of the beauty I saw there. Here's Autumn Leaves

Well, for a pink lover, I sure can be a dunce sometimes. I got so excited by the inspiration photo that I played along with that I forgot to make a card with PINK!!!!
Kittie Thanks for the fun challenge! I hope I got this card right!
