There is nothing I love more than Design and Creativity! I have been seeking to improve my abilities in both for a while now. I could never express how much Splitcoaststampers has encouraged and guided me every step of the way! This week I found a site dedicated to both! It's an Italian website (so anyone who speaks Italian will be thrilled this week!) named "iDesignMe'. iDesignMe shows a seasoned eye for design and creativity with a ton of different examples to choose from. I especially love what it says under their logo "Creativity Takes Courage". I hope you will join me this week as I plan to explore iDesignMe and find many inspirations for card designs!
I was not able to get a Guest Designer this week, so I'm inviting all of you to be my guest and contribute two (2) cards this week! Are you up to that additional challenge (smiles)? If not, everyone will be very happy with just one of your masterpieces!
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I've uploaded 5 of my favorites which are shown below. So you may just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. (Click on the images below to see them bigger.) Whether you choose one of those, or pick something entirely different from the website, please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece. (I suggest you put the URL on a line by itself - so that we're sure everyone can link off to it.) All inspiration should link back to the iDesignMe site.
Use the keyword: IC411 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your keywords.
As a new hostess for this challenge, I have truly been astounded by the wonderful galleries we end up with! So try to remember to revisit the gallery on Tuesday or Wednesday just to admire the complete exhibit of our inspirations! YOU represent a very creative community of stampers and artists on SCS!
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
when I go to the site, McAfee stops me, saying it has displayed risky behaviors. sometimes I get messages when I go on splitcoast stuff, saying that there are some suspect things, but this was a full-blown, STOP,

I had a bit of a problem navigating this week's Inspiration site (I don't speak Italian), but I was able to do my two cards. Be patient when you click on the link for my inspirations -- it goes through two photos (automatically, you don't have to click again) before you get to the destination. Both inspirations are from the Honest Logos section

Every now and then this happens to me, sometimes its when I have cleaned cookies out, other times I just shut my system down give it a few minutes and its better. Funny that it happens on my desktop but never my i-pad. Trying this and see if it helps - scares the heck out of me when it happens....I trust this place to be pretty safe, but people from all over the world are on here. good luck.

Here is my card, for the, IC411, challenge. I was inspired, by the colors, of red and black, and the ornate gold designs, found in Italian art. Thanks for this super fun challenge, and thanks for looking.

Audrie, Thank you so much for the fun challenge! The inspiration challenge at SCS is one of my favorites but I don't get to play it very often. I was so excited to find the gorgeous door photo. I am not sure I will get two made but I had a LOT of fun with this one!

I found so much inspiration at the iDesignMe website, this is my second card for this challenge. The stark contrast of bright colors against the drab cement wall of this origami art intrigued me so much, I went through Google translate just to find out what it said about the picture and found out that a French artist has done many of these origami masterpieces on walls in France, Vietnam and Hong Kong. It inspired me to create Subway Art Hearts .
