Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Don't you find that the most beautiful things often come together during weddings! Unfortunately, I think it's one of the few events we attend the least in our lives (unless we are wedding coordinators of course-smiles). I wish I could attend more weddings just for the romantic inspiration it always provides...down to the very smallest details such as name plates and napkin holders! So with a craving for romantic creativity I have selected Loverly as our inspiration site this week. It even lets you search by your favorite colors! (A dream come true for newer stampers that may have minimal ink pads too.)
My Guest Hostess today is someone you all know and love - she contributes many awesome artistic inspirations to a variety of SCS challenges Miss Boo. You can view her masterpieces for this challenge right here, here , here , and here too! She had a BALL!
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I've uploaded 9 of our favorites (my favorites and Miss Boo's) which are shown below. So you may just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. (Click on the images below to see them bigger.) Whether you choose one of those, or pick something entirely different from the website, please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece. (I suggest you put the URL on a line by itself - so that we're sure everyone can link off to it.) All inspiration should link back to the Loverly site.
Please note that this site will link off to loads of other sites so please follow these instructions to add the hyperlink to your selected inspiration piece:
1. From the home page, search for photos by color, style, type, or even a holiday name like "Christmas".
2. With the search results still visible (this is the trick - do this with all search results still visible), right click on the image you want to use, and then select "Copy Link" (see first image in my uploads for a screen shot of what this looks like)
3. All done! Now you can paste the link into your description when you upload your card.
Note: I have a Mac, so I used Control Click instead of right click. iOS users can just hold finger down on image then click copy.
Use the keyword: IC410 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your keywords.
As a new hostess for this challenge, I have truly been astounded by the wonderful galleries we end up with! So try to remember to revisit the gallery on Tuesday or Wednesday just to admire the complete exhibit of our inspirations! YOU represent a very creative community of stampers and artists on SCS!
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Here is my second one for today - but the color of the card won't come out right as it started to get cloudy .. grrrrrr so the colors don't look quite right, it is a brighter pale green than what shows up; I used the green starburst image below for my case.

I combined a HYCCT challenge with this challenge and made a card with lots of meaning to me. Thank you for the gorgeous inspiration site!!! I would have loved to follow the photo a bit more closely but I don't have a tree stamp or a tree die cut so I went with a branch.
So many cool images to draw inspiration from on this site! Great choice! I eventually decided upon THIS PANSY CAKE as my inspiration for my card...
(There was no direct link to the cake so I put in the above link.)
Oh my! I could get lost for days on the Loverly website! My daughter is getting married in May, 2014, so I was relishing all that wedding inspiration in one spot -- it's like a giant Wedding Pinterest board! So fun! :p
I managed to narrow down all the inspiration I saw on the Loverly site to a very fun and different wedding cake. It had such bright colors and made me smile , so I thought I would create a card to make someone smile and use it for an HYCCT challenge as well. Here's my Bright Smile Dots card.
